It’s no surprise that the Clippers, Celtics, and Mavericks all rank among the NBA top-five in league scoring and the other thing they have in common is they are all in action on Wednesday night. Here is a quick look at the three best NBA  betting totals available for Wednesday night’s action.

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Indiana Pacers
Odds: 200
The Clippers are third in the NBA with an average of 107.1 points per game thanks in big part to the emergence of Blake Griffin. Griffin has become a more complete scorer and the presence of Chris Paul, DeAndre Jordan, and even the underrated Matt Barnes has made Los Angeles a very dangerous offensive team. However, a road trip to Indiana will test their ability at the offensive end as the Pacers have been one of the best defensive teams in the NBA. Betting totals is about more than just offense; it’s about how the offenses match up against the opponents they are playing against. Indiana doesn’t score a lot of points either; so, as long as they can slow the Clippers down, this game should stay under the total of 199.

NBA Pick: UNDER 198.5 at 5Dimes

Boston Celtics vs. Charlotte Hornets
Odds: 203
It’s easy to understand how the Clippers are scoring so many points but it’s somewhat surprising to see the Celtics near the top of the NBA with 105.6 points per game. The over has hit in 13 of Boston’s 19 games this season including five of their seven games on the road with Jeff Green leading the way. Green has averaged a team-leading 19.8 points per game this year but the Celtics also have six other players that have averaged more than eight points per game. The over has hit in eight of Charlotte’s 11 home games and if they can’t slow down Boston’s offense they will be forced to try to keep up with them in vain and push this game over the total in our NBA odds.

NBA Pick: OVER 203.5 at BetOnline

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Dallas Mavericks
Odds: 210
Few might have expected Dallas to be challenging for the best record in the NBA but a league-leading 110.6 points per game is the biggest reason why they are right there near the top of the Western Conference. Dirk Nowitzki has been excellent but he is no longer the Mavericks biggest threat thanks to Monta Ellis, Chandler Parsons, and a healthy Tyson Chandler each contributing at a high level. The over has hit in eight of Dallas’ 11 home games this season, and the Pelicans will help push this game over the total of 210.5 with Anthony Davis and company bringing it at the other end of the floor.
