Our NBA handicapping professional went 2-0 on Monday with his NBA picks. He has three more winning totals tonight. Go inside to find out those selections and why he likes them.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Miami Heat 7:35 PM ET
Something has to give in this game regarding the total. Minnesota has seen four of its last five games go over the total. Those five contests averaged a combined 219.6 points scored per game. During that stretch, Minnesota shot a stellar 50.5% from the field, and they also allowed opponents to convert on 51.5% of their shots. Contrarily, Miami has gone under the total in each of their previous eight contests, and is allowing only 90.2 points per game this season.

Any team (Miami) coming off 4 or more games in a row going under the total, and they’re allowing 91.0 points or less per game, has gone 27-8 (77.1%) over the total since 1996. The average total in those 35 contests was 193.9, and there were a combined average of 201.1 points scored per game. Relative to this current number, I like this game to be a high scoring affair for one of my NBA picks on Tuesday.

NBA Pick: Under 196.5 (-106) at 5Dimes

Charlotte Hornets vs. New York Knicks 7:35 PM ET
Charlotte has gone under the total in each of its last four games. New York has gone under the total in their last four, and seven of its previous eight games. The Knicks scored and allowed less than 100 points in seven of those eight games. New York has seen five of six home games go under the total this season.

According to NBA odds at Heritage, they offer the highest total on Tuesday’s NBA board.

NBA Pick: Under 196.5 (-105) at Heritage

Toronto Raptors vs. Golden State Warriors 10:35 PM ET
Toronto has seen seven of their last nine games go under the total, and that includes five of its previous six away games. The Raptors are allowing an average of just 97.1 points per game this season, and have held opponents to only 42.3% shooting from the field. They will be facing a Golden State team tonight that has a mammoth +16.3 point per game differential this season. Toronto has gone 19-7 (73.1%) under the total versus opponents with a +3.0 or better point per game differential during the past two seasons.

As I’ve alluded to on more than one occasion this season, Golden State is a vastly underrated defensive team. The Warriors have held opponents to 97.8 points per game and a paltry 41.9% shooting from the field.

NBA Pick: Under 208 (-105) at Pinnacle
