We have a full 12 game slate of NBA games tonight & will be focusing in on some of the better betting total as we look for our piece of the pie with our betting picks; join along!

Los Angeles Clippers (37-20) vs. Houston Rockets (38-18)

Right Back to the We
I did this Monday and was successful and I'm picking another Clippers game tonight. On Monday, it was obvious that the best defense in the league in the Memphis Grizzlies were going to hold the Clippers to a low total as the Clips are without Blake Griffin. Odds makers provide these abnormally high totals that CP3 couldn't possibly reach by himself. Tonight, we have another high total at 215 and I don't expect Blake Griffin to be starting tonight and I still expect DeAndre Jordan to be missing more free throws than making them.

James Harden
The Houston Rockets are the reason for the high betting total and this is because of the outstanding play of James Harden. I really don't know who deserves NBA MVP as Russell Westbrook notched his 2nd consecutive triple-double and James Harden has been a flatout beast all season long.

Without Dwight Howard in the lineup, this has created more opportunities for Harden and he's taken full advantage of them. Harden is coming off of a triple double himself in a victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves, 113-102 in which he had 31 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists, and 4 blocks. Harden leads the league in scoring and there's nobody that can stop him. If anything, Chris Paul will reinforce the under by neutralizing the player that he guards.

As for Paul, he's in the same position as Harden. The difference is that CP3 is more of a passer and defender and Harden is a locomotive that wants to keep taking the basketball to the rack. The total is placed too high in this game. I'm confident that we see an under despite the offensive output from James Harden and CP3. .

NBA Pick: Clippers/Rockets -Under 215 at 5 Dimes

Dallas Mavericks (39-20) vs. Atlanta Hawks (44-12)

Rajon Rondo vs. Rick Carlisle
All that we're going to be hearing about in this game is the benching of point guard, Rajon Rondo, by head coach, Rick Carlisle. It appears that Rondo is losing his luster in the Big D as he's underperformed.

Rondo was never known for his offense, but as a Maverick, he's struggled mightily and this is an offensive-based team. That said, Dallas has won their last 2 games, scoring under 100 point in each game despite averaging 105.8 points per game this season. The betting total reflects this as the total is listed lower than it should be.

As for the Atlanta Hawks, they're not concerned with the NBA odds betting total, they just keep on winning games basketball games with an Eastern Conference best 44-12 record.

I witnessed it in the All-Star game as the entire second-team was laced with Hawks players. It wasn't because they were filled with superstars, it was because they worked well as a team...and Kyle Korver can drill a 3-pointer from any part of the court. The Hawks have also been a great defensive team, allowing just 96.8 points per game.

Normally, I would stay off of this game, but the Mavericks firepower is beginning to cease as Carlisle is taking it easy on aging star Dirk Nowitzki even when he's playing well and Monta Ellis has been slumping lately.

In last night's game, Dirk came out like a ball of fire in the 1st quarter and although he had a good game, his production lessened as the game went on. I'm also concerned about the Rondo situation. Usually when a player is embarrassed, they come out strong the next game. In tonight's game, I don't think that this will happen as I don't have faith in Rondo's offensive game and Rick Carlisle is the puppeteer controlling the strings. The total is low for a reason and I'm following the odds makers lead in taking the under for my NBA pick.

NBA Pick: Mavericks/Hawks - Under 202.5 at 5 Dimes
