Although the total seems high when the Thunder visit the Cavs I think odds makers are correct.  This game will be an up & down affair from start to finish, I look for a high scoring final.

NBA Pick: Thunder & Cavaliers OVER the Total
Best Line Offered: 205 (-105) at Heritage

NBA odds
NBA Odds Makers have come out at 205 on the total in this matchup like at Bookmaker -110.  Although Cleveland has been solid on the defensive end I look for them to get out and run with the up tempo Thunder so for my NBA Picks of the day I will back the over. I don't expect a lot of defensive stops on either end of the floor.

OKC Thunder
The Thunder are averaging 107.6 points per game while shooting 46.9% from the field, and allowing 100.7 points per game on 43.2% shooting from field.  For a rookie NBA coach Billy Donovan I think has done a good job with this very talented team, and if Kevin Durant stays healthy they are just one of a few teams that can dethrone the Warriors.  Offensively they have been tremendous but despite their surprising output they are only averaging 85.3 shots per game which ranks 10th in the NBA.  You think they would be averaging more all things considered but they have supplemented a super fast pace with being really efficient.  They rank third in shooting efficiency, fourth in effective field goals, and third in two point shooting percentage.  On top of all that they are averaging 36.6% from beyond the arc which ranks seventh in the league, in short, when the Thunder put up shots they drop.  Defensively there is some room for improvement but for the most part considering their success on offense they have been sufficient.  What could be a problem for them tonight though is that they are facing a team in the Cavs that is as efficient as they are and the fact the Thunder allow opponents 86.6 field goal attempts per game will most likely lead to Cleveland putting up a ton of points.

Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cavs are averaging 101.5 points per game while shooting 45.6% from the field, and allowing 95.8 points per game on 43.9% shooting from the field.  Defense has been the main difference for them this season and seems to be the focal point for this team.  Still, they are not a team that will shy away from pace and are more than happy to shoot the three averaging 27.4 attempts per game which ranks fifth in the NBA.  They are simply a very efficient offense and as they continue to get healthy they will become very tough to beat going forward.  Defensively they have stepped things up as compared to last year and rank fourth in the league in scoring defense.  Still, where they lack though is right into the strength of OKC allowing 47.6% in two point shots and 40.3 points in the paint per game.  Although the Thunder are coming off a back to back I expect them to be able score enough to keep up with the Cavs for most of the game.

This is a great matchup and for your NBA pick today I recommend backing the over in what should be a really fast paced game.  Both teams have the potential to be successful in exactly where the other team struggles so we should see some good efficiency by both teams.  Look for the scoring from both teams to end up well over the total.
