It’s a short slate of NBA picks, and after winning one play and pushing the other last night, we are back at it again for this three-game slate. Follow along as I release my two best bets to parlay.

Kings vs. Heat
Sacramento is going through it right now. They played the Hawks last night, Demarcus Cousins elbowed a guy and no one seemed to care, and they are once again looking ok, but not good enough to make the playoffs. They could go a long way in making the latter come true tonight in a game against the Heat, but the NBA odds have Miami as a -8 favorite, with a total of 200 points. Sacramento’s back to back will hurt their chances in this one, and it will get more profound, especially as we get deeper into the season.

While the Heat have been sporadic at times, one constant has been their defense. They rank as one of the best defensive teams in the NBA this season, and they also rank as one of the slowest paced teams. With five above average or plus defenders in their starting five, and with Goran Dragic starting to look like the Dragic we came to love in Phoenix, I see no reason not to lay the points with the Heat at home, as they face a tired Kings team.

While the Kings are 2-1 ATS this season coming off the back to back, they are also only 3-6 ATS in their last nine games. Plus, while the Heat have one of the best defenses in the league, giving up only 91.5 points per game, the Kings currently have the league’s worst defense in points allowed, giving up nearly 108 points per game. Look for the Heat to limit Cousins as much as possible with their own defensive stud, Hassan Whiteside, and look for the Heat to win by double figures.

Bucks vs. Cavs
One of the games on just after the Kings and Heat are is the Bucks and Cavs, where the NBA Odds are slightly overvaluing the Cavs as -9 ½ favorites, with a total of 194 points. The Bucks haven’t looked great this season so far, and even after losing badly to the Wizards, but the Bucks have a great chance to bounce back tonight if all of their players are healthy. Kris Middleton is starting to look better after a rocky start, Michael Carter-Williams is back for the Bucks, and Jabari Parker also might return from a foot sprain tonight. If all systems are a go for Milwaukee in regards to the health of their roster, I like their chances of covering versus the Cavs.

Milwaukee had some nice success against Cleveland last season, going 3-1 ATS, and they also won and covered their only game against the Cavs so far this season just a few nights ago. As long as Giannis Antetokounmpo can hold down Lebron James some in this one, I see no reason to believe that the Bucks can’t keep this one in single digits. The Cavs have lost their last five games in a row ATS, and while they have won their last five home games SU dating back to last season, they have also dropped their last two SU to subpar opponents in Detroit and these same Bucks. Don’t hesitate to take the points in tonight's short slate with Milwaukee as the second leg to our parlay in your NBA picks.
