Two teams coming off back to backs on Sunday will meet up in Washington DC this evening, as the Wizards host the Thunder. Which team have we decided to back with our NBA picks tonight?

NBA odds
makers have opened up Oklahoma City as a -9.5 favorite, and already the books have the line moving up to -10. Should we jump on the Thunder while the NBA betting lines are low, or are the Wizards the smart choice as the underdog bet?

I’m here to say there is no way I could take the Wizards right now in almost any spread, and against a Thunder team who lost in DC last season, I’m thinking OKC is the bet. At -9 ½, it gives the Thunder to ability to get a ten-point win, something that is extremely possible. The Wizards will have zero answer for Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant in this game, especially because they are coming off a back to back.

The already struggling Washington defense will have a really hard time keeping up and stopping the Thunder. While both teams did play last night, the Thunder had an afternoon game yesterday, giving them at least six more hours of rest that the Wizards who played yesterday evening in Miami.

The Thunder will use their defense and stellar stars to bust up Washington this evening. Even though he public is on the Thunder, I’m not running away because of it. This is a game between the best and worst offensive teams in the NBA, and the Wizards are still without crucial players. The Thunder are healthy, and they are much deeper than Washington.
