Despite the short card of NBA Odds last night, we cashed a huge parlay, moving my record this week into the “on fire,” realm. Now we have more games to choose from tonight, and once again I have found two NBA Picks that looks like tremendous value to start your weekend.
Wolves vs. Sixers
While neither one of these teams is going to be a great draw this season, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have any NBA Odds value tonight. The odds have the Wolves as -3 road favorites in this one despite their injuries, with a total of 192 ½. Even though they are still relatively banged up, the Wolves are getting healthier. It will likely help their offense a ton in this game. Nikola Pekovic has looked good since his return and Kevin Martin made his return a game ago as well, which will really help the Timber Puppies.
While I do think they have a great chance of covering their -3 NBA Odds here on the road, I see the over being the smart choice for our NBA picks tonight with such a low total. I can’t see a game where one of these teams doesn’t get into the 100 region, and if that happens the over looks like a lock. While both teams have been trending with the under recently, a game that should be close will help the offense in this game. The Wolves should play up in pace as well on the road, and with their recent health, I see them being the team that gets into the 100s tonight.
My Pick: OVER 192 ½
Mavs vs. Heat
The Mavs had looked like the best offense team in the NBA for a while, but a recent January slump has put more question marks on this team. If they aren’t scoring, their defense isn’t good enough to get them out of the first round of the playoffs, so tonight against the Heat, they will want to get back on track. While the Heat do have a budding center in Hassan Whiteside, Miami will be without Dwyane Wade in this game, and for the foreseeable future. Without him, the NBA Odds have the Mavs as big -9 favorites on the road, with a total of 191 ½.
I think the spread is a little to sharp for my liking in this game, but once again the total looks like a wager that can be taken advantage of. Dallas’ defense isn’t good enough to shut down the likes of Chris Bosh and Luol Deng in this one, and at home those two should both keep the Heat’s scoring up, and will likely keep the Heat in this game. However I could say the same thing about Miami’s defense against Dallas. The Heat have cashed the over at 10-4 this season in their last 14 games at home against winning teams, and they are 8-3 cashing the over in their last 11 games against teams with winning percentages above 60%.
While the pace of the game may not be the fastest tonight, if the Mavs have it their way, it will be fast enough for the over to cash. Look for a higher scoring game for both of these teams, and for the low total of 191 ½ to go over.
My Pick: OVER 191 ½
