We split a pair of NBA Picks on Saturday after cashing all three on Friday night, and I am back to close out the week with three more NBA Picks of the day.

Sixers vs. Grizzlies
We successfully nailed the Sixers the other night to cover against the Celtics, and they did it again two nights ago against the Rockets, as they barely missed out on another win. If you have watched any of the Sixers over the last few games, (I know that’s a tall order, but I love basketball so even bad basketball is fun to watch sometimes) you would know they that are getting closer to a win SU. They will surely get a win before the Warriors lose, and they might even have two or three wins by then.

Tonight against the Grizzlies, the NBA Odds have the Sixers as +11 ½ underdogs, with a total of 192 ½. However, with the Sixers coming off a 4-0 ATS stretch over their last four games, and tonight against a Memphis team that has fallen off some and is dealing with injury, I am taking the points with Philly once again.

With the return of Robert Covington, and with Isaiah Canaan playing better alongside Jahlil Okafor, the Sixers have some credible NBA talent that can beat some teams. While I doubt it happens tonight against Memphis, I could easily see the Sixers keeping this one within three or four possessions, and definitely within single digits. Memphis is giving up 100 points per game this season and has looked vulnerable on both ends of the court. Even in the Grind House tonight, I see the Sixers covering on Beale Street.

Pacers vs. Lakers
The NBA Pick we did nail yesterday was the Blazers once again beating up on the Lakers, and tonight the Lakers are coming off a back to back to head to the Staples Center to play one of the more surprising teams in the NBA this season, the Pacers. The NBA Odds have the Pacers as -9 ½ favorites on the road in this one, and as tempting as it is to want to lay the points tonight, I think the safer play may be the total. I absolutely endorse laying the points too, and I might, but my official play is on the total of 201 ½.

On the season the Pacers have been playing at a slightly faster pace, but it has not hurt their defense at all. On top of that, Paul George is quickly locking up the Comeback Player of the Year Award, and is also forcibly inserting his name into the MVP discussion. Tonight against the Lakers’ almost non-existent defense, the Pacer should have no problem scoring the ball, however, the back to back may hurt the Lakers offense too, and with those two factors combined, LA might not get to 90 points tonight.

If that’s the case, the under is by far the best play for this game tonight. At 201 ½, the total is just high enough to where the Pacers could still score almost 110 points and the total might still go under. The Pacers’ offense is surrounded by George, but he anchors their defense too, and I could easily see an early-start West Coast game finishing at 98-81. George might have 30 points again, but I am taking the under. Since last season, the Lakers are 11-8 cashing the under on the second night of a back to back and they have cashed the under in nine of their last 11 games this season, and four of their last five home games. Take the under, and hope the Lakers have another bad night offensively.
