We hit one out of two last night however I have still hit on 13 of my last 16 NBA Picks. Who should we be on for tonight's NBA matchups?
We have reached Wednesday, which is one of the bigger NBA days of the week, and there is value all over the boards tonight. I have found another couple of NBA Picks that I am feeling good about, and on my current hot streak, you should too.
Clippers vs. Wolves
A night after losing a big lead in Washington DC, the Wolves had to travel back home to welcome in one of the West’s best teams, the Clippers. The NBA Odds have the Wolves as -1 favorites here with a larger total of 213, and in what should be a higher scoring game, I think LA has the value.
Minnesota looked good for around 1 ½ quarters until the Wizards staged a comeback in the 2nd quarter and 2nd half. However they were held down by Washington, and with the exception of Kevin Love, no one on Minnesota had it going. Kevin Martin was cold all night, and Ricky Rubio was in foul trouble and ineffective for the entire night.
After a late night of travel, I don’t think they have a lot of value tonight against the Clippers, and at a money line price of only -105, I could easily see the Clippers stealing a win here. They are 3-1 ATS in their last four games against the Wolves overall, as well as 5-2 ATS versus Minnesota in their last seven meetings overall. I expect plenty of scoring from both teams, and for Doc Rivers’ club to come out on top.
My Pick: Clippers +1
Kings vs. Suns
Last night these two teams hooked up in Sacramento, and after trailing nearly the entire game, the Kings came back late at home to get the 107-104 win over Phoenix. Now on a home and away back to back, the two teams meet up again tonight, this time at the Suns’ home court.
The NBA Odds have the Suns as -5 ½ favorites after opening up around -2 last night, with a total of 194. After hitting on the over last night for this game, I am doubling down tonight on the same bet. These two teams had over 110 points at the half last night, and considering the Suns’ offensive pace, and the Kings’ defensive efficiency, the over looks good again.
Phoenix ranks near the top third of the league in possessions per game, while the Kings rank near the bottom of the league in points allowed per 100 possessions. Sacramento will surely give up some more points tonight like they did a night ago, and I doubt Phoenix’s defense will not be amazing going from away to home.
DeMarcus Cousins had a huge night last night as I predicted, and there is nothing to make me believe that he won’t have another big night against the Suns’ non-existent post defense. Eric Bledsoe did not play last night in Sacramento, and even though it didn’t affect my pick on last night’s game, his potential presence tonight would only improve the offense for the Suns.
My Pick: OVER 194
