We cashed both of our NBA Picks yesterday putting us right back on track from a disappointing Monday evening. Now we are 29-16-2 during the NBA Playoffs, and I am trying to get over the 30-win mark tonight with two more NBA Picks.

Wizards vs. Hawks
So far this series has been back and forth, and even with more John Wall rumors heating up about how he is still hoping to play, the NBA Odds aren’t buying it after Atlanta’s win in Game 4. Now as the series shifts back to Atlanta for a pivotal Game 5, the NBA odds are firmly favoring the Hawks at -8, with a total of 199 ½. While crazier things have happened, I don’t expect John Wall to play in this game, but I do expect both teams to continue to score easily on one another.

Sometimes in the playoffs you have series that get higher in scoring as the series gets deeper. It makes sense. Good offense beats good defense in the NBA, and after three or four straight games against one another, you figure out a team’s defensive schemes and tendencies, and you exploit them. That’s what both of these teams are doing to one another. So far three of the four games in this series, and now seven of their eight matchups this season have gone over the total, and with the number not reacting to counter that, I see another opportunity for the over tonight. While it is a series-changing Game 5, I think the Hawks, much like they did in the Brooklyn series, are about to wake up and take over. They realize they need to win these games without Wall in the lineup, and now at home, they need to do it quickly.

The over is now 5-2 in the Hawks last seven playoff games, and for the Wizards the over is 6-1 in their last seven games. Take it again tonight with your NBA picks.

Grizzlies vs. Warriors
Speaking of great series, this one has turned into by far the best one in the West, and maybe even the best series of the second round. The Warriors came back and took back home court advantage from the Grizzlies in Game 4, and now Memphis has to contend with the Oracle again in Game 5. The NBA Odds have the Warriors as huge -9 ½ favorites in this one, with a total of 195 ½.

While I am tempted to take the under with these two teams and stick with the total here, I am also swayed by the Memphis Grizzlies again. The under has now cashed in all four of the games in this series, and in six of their seven meetings this season. However with Mike Conley back and getting healed more by every day, I am inclined to think that while they likely won’t win the game SU, the Grizzlies can cover this massive spread, much like they did in Game 2 with Conley back for the first time.

Memphis has covered in two of their three games in Oracle Arena this season, both regular season and playoffs. They are also 7-2 ATS in their last nine Western Semi Finals games. Plus, Golden State is only 1-3 ATS at home so far in the playoffs. I think the final score will be in favor of Golden State, but by no more than six or seven points.
