Despite a short slate tonight, It's time to run over the available betting lines & try to exploit them. Inside this article we've got a good read on how things will play out. Let's take a look!

Utah Jazz vs. Indiana Pacers
It's been a slow start for the new-look Pacers, as they've dropped each of their first two games this season. They fell by seven on the road in Toronto in their opener and then lost 112-103 at home against Memphis in their latest effort.

Tonight oddsmakers are expecting Indiana to grab their first win of the season, with the NBA Odds showing the home team favored by three points across the board. The total is at 191.5 points, a low number that makes sense when you consider what both of squads were able to do defensively last season, particularly Utah over the second half.

So far this season, the Jazz have still been doing their due diligence defensively. They held the Pistons to 92 points but lost by five in their opener, and then followed that up with a dominant 99-71 road win over Philadelphia last night. It's clear these guys aren't going to be laying down for anyone and that they'll be putting forth a strong defensive effort more often than not.

Tired legs shouldn't be much of an issue this early in the season, so we're not worried about the back-to-back situation for Utah. That being said, we just don't see this as a favorable spot against a Pacers team that will be motivated to earn their first win of the season, especially since they'll be at home. This is a talented Indiana group and one that should become one of the contenders in the Eastern Conference, so long as they gel as many are expecting.

So, as we approach Saturday's relatively small basketball slate, we've opted to take the home chalk and roll out the Pacers as one of our NBA Picks. It's a short number that we're going to be attacking.

Sacramento Kings vs. Los Angeles Clippers
The Clippers have opened with two convincing wins, and were especially dominant in a 104-88 home win over Dallas in their most recent game.

Tonight they'll once again be at home, this time against DeMarcus Cousins, Rudy Gay, Rajon Rondo and the Kings. Currently, the NBA odds board has LA favored by 10.5 points, with the total at 214.5. Indeed, with both the Clippers and the George Karl-led Kings more than willing to push the tempo, a high-scoring affair should be in the cards.

While LA is undefeated early on, Sacramento has split their first two, losting to these same Clippers in their season opener (111-104) before crushing the Lakers (132-114) at home last night. Will the Kings be able to be competitive in an early-season rematch this evening?

We're not so sure. While Sacramento does have talent, particuarly with that Cousins/Gay tandem, we just don't see this team hanging with the Clippers, who appear to be one of the top dogs in not only the Western Conference but the entire NBA. The Kings may be improving slowly but surely, but they've got a long way to go to be able to consistently match a team like LA.

With that thought in mind, we're going to take on this heavy number and side with the seemingly determined Clippers to pull away and cover. They've now got the depth to their rotation that they've lacked in previous seasons, which should help them keep the pressure on once CP3, Griffin and company need rest. All in all, we're high on the Clippers, and we think they'll get it done inside the Staples Center tonight.

NBA Pick: Los Angeles Clippers -10.5 at Bovada
