In a wild night of NBA action, we cashed two of our three NBA picks on Monday night, and now I’m back again to try and keep the winning alive with two more of my NBA best bets for this short slated Tuesday evening.

Rockets vs. Thunder
Even though the NBA odds were late coming out for this one, the Thunder are still -10 favorites at home tonight with a total of 222 points. Even if the Thunder end up dominating the game like the sportsbooks are suggesting, the number is creeping downward to -9 ½ at some shops. However, I am much more interested in the total of 222 points.

While both teams have had two days off to rest in between their last game and the one tonight, that affects these two teams differently. The Thunder’s defense tends to get better with 2-3 days rest, as they cash the under at home and on rest very well this season. However, the Rockets are much better at cashing the over on rest this season, and I think that’s the direction I’m going with this play.

Houston is 9-3 cashing the over on 2-3 days rest this season, and they are 23-13 cashing the over when playing on the road. On top of that, they have been horrific defensively in conference road games recently. In their last 11 games against conference foes on the road, the Rockets have cashed the over at 10-1 and they have given up an average of 115 points during those 11 games.

Considering the Thunder have dropped an average of 121 points over their last four games heading into this one, the Rockets stand no chance of slowing them down. OKC could easily get to 115 or 120 points tonight against Houston, so grab the over and add it to your NBA Picks tonight.

Grizzlies vs. Lakers
The Grizzlies erased an 11-point deficit last night in Phoenix and scored 64 points in the second half against the Suns to get the win both SU and ATS. Now they head into Los Angeles to play the Lakers tonight as -3 favorites, with a total of 202 points. While the back to back might hurt the banged up Grizzlies, the Lakers might be without Kobe Bryant tonight, and if that’s the case, the Grizzlies are an excellent value as only three-point favorites.

Memphis has been great on no rest this season. They are 11-5 ATS this season when playing on no rest, and they have been just as good this season as road favorites at 10-6 ATS. Memphis tends to be one of those teams the sportsbooks don’t given enough credit to, and that has been even more the case during their recent bout with injuries. The Grizzlies have now cashed in their last three games in a row, and they are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games overall.

The Lakers on the other hand look like they are ready for their summer vacations. They have now lost their last four games in a row ATS, and all four of those games were at home. That has their home ATS record down to 15-19 ATS this season, and they are only shooting 41 percent from the floor at home this year.

Memphis’ field goal percentage on the road hasn’t been much better, but despite their injuries, and despite their defense suffering some right now, they are easily the best play for your NBA picks in this game as only -3 favorites, even off the back to back.
