A perfect evening of NBA Picks on Monday has pushed our record to 14-8 since the start of the playoffs, and I am looking to keep the momentum going here on Tuesday.

Total Teaser Pick
Even with only two games lining the NBA odds slate, there is still some value to be had. These two games have been marked by defense to start the series, and now that they are both tied 2-2, and heading back to the higher seeded team’s home court, that isn’t going to change. In fact, it’s going to probably be intensified as the team that wins Game 5 of a tied series goes on to win it a majority of the time.

We are going to get the best defensively of both these teams. These are going to be games with no easy buckets, and there will be plenty of hard fouls and trips to the free throw line.

That being said, both teams are probably going to play a slower paced game as well, which tells me the unders look like great plays combined in a teaser.

Firstly, with the Pacers and Raptors, we have seen some great defense from both clubs in this series, and in all four games there has been at least one team score 90 points or less, and in the last three there has been a team that fails to get to 90 points.

That could easily be the case here in this one, especially with the series going back to Toronto. The total is already dropping, so I am grabbing it at 192 and teasing it up to 196 for our first leg.

For the second leg, the C’s and Hawks have been very tough to predict in this series, but now that the Hawks are heading back home, and after losing two straight games, I think they find their defense in this one.

They have given up an average of nearly 108 points per game over their last two games in Boston, but at home this season the Hawks allowed only 97.2 points per game, and at home the Hawks had the best Defensive Rating of any team except the Spurs at 97.4 points per 100 possessions. Take the under with both these teams and tease them up for extra value.

The Pick: Teaser – 'Under' 196 Pacers/Raptors & 'Under' 203 ½ Celtics/Hawks

Spread Teaser Pick
If indeed these games are lower scoring tonight, the NBA odds of that helping the underdogs is improved. The Pacers have already shown that they can play with the Raptors in Toronto, and considering this is the fifth game and we can tease the spread up to +11, it seems like a great play to keep this game’s final scoring margin within single digits.

The same can be said about the Celtics. Even though they have not had the road success that the Pacers have had, they have tapped into something in their last few games, and all they have to do is to continue to do so on the road in this one.

Boston’s ability to control the paint and keep Isaiah Thomas hot is crucial to their success, and if the score is lower, it really helps them here tonight.

So far all four Celtics and Hawks have finished with margins of victory that are within single digits, and while the same can not be said about the Pacers and Raptors, I’m confident they can jeep it close against one another here tonight; that is my final NBA pick.

The Pick: Teaser – Pacers +11 & Celtics +11
