Friday's NBA slate is short but full of potential value for your NBA Picks. Our handicapper looks at three games that can help you beat the NBA odds to start the weekend off right.

Celtics vs. Raptors
The Celtics visit the Raptors in a potential playoff preview. Both teams are having outstanding seasons, although Boston has lost three straight games while Toronto has won five of six. The Raptors are the second-best team in the Eastern Conference for a reason and they're extremely tough to beat at home. The Celtics sit in fourth-place, 7.5 games behind the Raptors. Toronto leads the season series 2-0 after a 113-103 win at Boston and a 115-109 win at home. The Raptors might have dominated the Celtics this season but Boston can't be underestimated and they will get out of their funk soon, so why not back them now against a tired Toronto team. The NBA odds for this game haven't been released yet but I lean towards a more rested Celtics team making this a competitive game as the Raptors had to play against the Pacers on Thursday.

NBA Pick: Celtics +2

Trail Blazers vs. Pelicans
The Trail Blazers are struggling a bit, losing five of their last seven games as of this writing and this is a complicated visit, especially because this is the second game of a back-to-back, with the first contest being a visit to the Spurs on Thursday. Having to travel from San Antonio to New Orleans after what should be a tough game won't help them but I can't see the Pelicans being able to keep up with Damian Lillard and company. Portland leads the season series 2-1 and I believe that finding them at a decent price of +1.5 is a bargain against a New Orleans team with nothing to play for. Anthony Davis will put up good numbers as usual but there's solid underdog value with the visitors in this spot. The Trail Blazers are fighting for a playoff spot for a reason and they're by far the better team here.

Warriors vs. Mavericks
If the playoffs started today, the Golden State Warriors would play the Dallas Mavericks in the first round, which adds certain level of intrigue to what promises to be a fun to watch contest. The Mavericks know that they can beat the Warriors, as they prevailed 114-91 in Dallas on November 30. The Mavs are struggling and the Warriors are on a roll but Dallas needs no turn things around quickly and take advantage of any home game they can or the Jazz could end up stealing the last playoff spot in the Western Conference from them. The Warriors seem unstoppable and Deron Williams will have a hard time guarding Stephen Curry but the Mavs have plenty of talent on the offensive side of the ball. Add Dallas +8.5 to your NBA picks as they will be fired up against a Golden State team that is starting a long road trip and will try to save some energy towards the end of this clash.
