We split our best NBA Picks from yesterday right down the middle. With a shorter slate on Tuesday evening, there still is value to be had in the final two games of the regular season.

Sixers vs. Raptors
The Raptors are yet another team playing in one of their final two games and with no need to play their starters. The Raptors are locked into the 2nd seed in the Eastern Conference, and it would be a tragedy if one of their starting guards got hurt in a game that they can probably win without them. It is for this reason the sportsbooks are in a holding pattern on this game, with only Sports Betting and BetOnline posting NBA Odds for this one early this morning.

As of about 9:30 AM Eastern these two shops have the Raptors as -12 favorites, with a total of 204 points. However, the first half total is what I am looking for in this one, and it’s sitting at 100 ½. Once the NBA odds settle they could easily come out lower if we get word that Kyle Lowry and/or DeMar DeRozan are sitting this one out, so keep an eye on the news as the days goes along.

That being said, this game might be free flowing and could take on a high score in the first half. The Raptors have been playing good defense and cashing the under a lot recently, but the first halves of these games have actually seen some more scoring. In their last five games, Toronto’s average first half score was 50-48, and in the Sixers road games this season, they are giving up over 56 points per first half.

On their most recent game against the Knicks, the Raptors clamped down on New York in the second half, but the first half score was 54-51. Now that they are locked into the second seed, I could see them sitting out their players over the final two games, and giving way to less defense and a faster pace here on Tuesday evening, especially in the first half.

Thunder vs. Spurs
I would be really surprised if either team played their starters in this meaningless game. Both teams are locked into their respective playoff spots, and while the Spurs play once again tomorrow on the second night of a back to back, the Thunder are coming into this one tired after playing their starters last night against the Lakers.

The sportsbooks recognize this, as they have the Spurs anywhere from -6 to -8 favorites in the NBA Odds this evening, with a total of 204 ½. While I am tempted to lay the points, I have no idea who is going to play and who is going to sit this one out. With that in mind however, the total seems like a pretty good over play for these two teams if both clubs sit out several key players.

Even though the Spurs have been stellar at home defensively, potentially without their starters in this one could hurt that some. ON the other side, even if the Thunder rest some of their main players in this one, that just means they are going to play fast and work the ball down low some with Enes Kanter.

In their last game against Portland where the Thunder sat out Serge Ibaka, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, the final score of that game was 120-115, and the two teams played at a pace of 99.6.

Coming into this one, the Thunder have cashed the over in six of their last eight games, while the Spurs have cashed the over in two of their last three games, and three of their last five home games. In this meaningless game, look for the teams to rest players, play faster and cash the over as your NBA pick.
