With a larger Saturday NBA betting card, let’s take advantage of the value being presented today.

We went 1-1 last night, however I have still hit nine of my last 11 NBA Picks, and I am back one more time in Week 3 of the NBA season to try and cap off our best week yet.

Hawks vs. Knicks

The Hawks get another chance at besting the Knicks tonight, and after losing a few nights ago in Atlanta, they get the Knicks tonight in MSG, and New York is a -4 favorite with a total of 202. The Hawks played a close and good game against the Sixers last night, winning 113-103. They cashed the over once again, making them 7-2 cashing the over so far this season. As long as they can keep up their hot scoring that has started the season, I think the over tonight has value at 202. The Hawks are scoring about 104 points per game, and their defense has been shaky at best. After last night’s game, they are giving up over 101 points per game, and going up against the Knicks tonight off of a back to back, I expect New York to be able to score tonight.

These two teams are 12-5 combined this season cashing the over, and for the Hawks, the over has cashed in five straight road games. The Knicks have cashed the over in five of their last six games, and four of their last five home games have gone over the total. I see the Hawks giving up over 100 points to the Knicks here, and I fully expect the Hawks’ big men to dominate the Knicks down low, leading to easy buckets and a higher score.

My Pick: OVER 202

Nuggets vs. Rockets

Another total I have my eye on tonight is the Nuggets and Rockets, who are currently set at 211 points, with a spread that favors the Rockets at -8. At 211, I think there is also great over value with these two teams tonight. The Nuggets played last night in Denver, and they edged out the Wolves 117-113. After a travel night, their fast paced offense shouldn’t take a huge hit, but I expect the Nuggets’ defense to suffer.

Dwight Howard should feast in this game against virtually no frontline for the Nuggets. If he doesn’t have 25 points in this game, Rockets fans should be disappointed. Even with James Harden banged up, the Rockets beat out the Knicks a few days ago, and Harden had 36 points on 9-17 shooting.

The Rockets have their scoring improved at home a lot, and I expect them to put up a lot of points at home against a team coming off of a travel day. The over has cashed in the last two meetings between these two teams, and over their last two games against the Rockets, the Nuggets have put up 118, and 132 points respectfully. The addition of Howard hasn’t improved the Rockets’ overall defense as much as some projected, and so far Houston is giving up 105 points per game. I’m seeing a 110-104 finale for this one, making the over the play for this one.

My Pick: OVER 211
