I’ve officially heated back up with my NBA Picks over the last two days, so let’s see if I can keep the momentum going into this big Friday night of action. There are eight games tonight that have NBA Odds out, and two more coming later, so where should you go tonight with your Picks?

Raptors vs. Nets
We start it off tonight with two Eastern teams trying to hang onto their respective playoff spots. The Raptors snuck into the third seed the other night after they won their game and the Bulls lost, however tonight the Nets present a tougher than usual matchup. The NBA Odds actually are favoring the Nets at -3, with a total of 206 ½. While the total seems kind of high, so does the spread. While Kyle Lowry still looks like he’ll have to miss this game, and even with the Nets playing better basketball, I’m not sure why the sportsbooks have made the Nets favorites in this one.

Brooklyn is only 2-5-2 ATS in their last nine home games, and they are 0-2-2 ATS in their last four games as favorites. Even though they are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games overall, they are only 7-19-2 ATS this season playing as a home favorite. The Raptors on the other hand are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against teams with losing SU records, and while they are only 2-8 ATS in their last ten games as a dog, those were normally against winning teams, not losing ones. The Raptors have almost made it their calling card that they beat the bad teams and lose to the good ones, and tonight should be no difference. Ignore the slight NBA odds undervaluing for a moment, and take the points with the Raptors tonight.

Nuggets vs. Spurs
The Nuggets and the Spurs hook up again tonight, this time from San Antonio, and the NBA Odds are firmly on the side of the Spurs in this one. The Odds have San Antonio as a -12 ½ favorite in this one, however with the Spurs healthy and the Nuggets just counting the days until the season ends, the total is actually where I’m headed for this NBA pick.

Right now the total is only at 206 ½, which seems a bit low for these two teams. While the Spurs are likely to run away with this one according to the Odds, it could make for a better play on the over tonight as well. Blowouts tend to help the over because neither team will be playing much defense by the end of the game, and at only 206 ½, it’s a bargain tonight in Texas.

The over is 4-1 for the Nuggets in their last five games against teams with winning percentages of 60% or better, and the over is 5-1 for Denver in their last six road games against teams with winning home records. With the Nuggets coming off a day’s rest (they are 5-0 cashing the over in their last five games on one day’s rest) it should give them the energy to do some scoring of their own tonight against a good Spurs defense, and when San Antonio has control of the game, I expect to see a loose contest with tons of points.
