Tuesday’s short slate brings a nice set-up to take a close look at the NBA odds. Join us inside this revealing betting preview, as we have a couple of great NBA picks. Don't miss them!

Bucks vs. Blazers
The Bucks got a great game from Michael Carter-Williams last night, however it still was not enough to hold off the DeMarcus Cousins-less Kings 111-104. However, tonight they have another tough test in Portland, where the Blazers are waiting as -6½ favorites, and a total of 204 on the NBA odds board.

However, while the Blazers could take care of business pretty easily, the spread seems somewhat sharp compared to the total. At 204½, the number has already risen two full points from where it opened earlier last night, and with the sharps leaning one way on this one, I am leaning that way as well.

The Blazers have been pretty good on the offensive side of the ball this season, especially at home. They are scoring 105 points per game when playing at home this season, and even though they have had some lower scoring games at home recently, most of that was due to teams who aren’t very good at scoring the ball. The Bucks may fall into that category, but now that they are coming off a back to back, their defense might be so bad that the over can cash anyway.

The Bucks are 5-0 this season cashing the over on the second night of a back to back when they play on the road on no rest, and I expect nothing less tonight. Portland still gives up over 101 points per game at home this season, and the Bucks are coming off of four of their last five games going over. On top of that Milwaukee is giving up nearly 108 points per game in those last five games, so add the over and hope for the Blazers to put up plenty points tonight.

Wolves vs. Lakers
The final game of the evening is muddled by that all-important question when you place some action on the Lakers. Is Kobe Bryant going to play tonight? The answer is, I have no idea, but if he does, the Lakers as +4½ dogs at home seems like a pretty good play.

However, these two teams are about as unpredictable as any team on the slate tonight, and instead of wasting out time betting on which bad team is going to cover, the total once again seems ripe for an over play between two teams that play very little to no defense.

The Wolves have given up nearly 107 points per game in their last ten games, while the Lakers have been even worse at 109 in their last ten. Coming into this one after their first two meetings went over, and Bryant might not even have to play to get the over to cash in this one. The first two meetings between these clubs easily went over the total, and with the over now cashing in four of the last five for the Wolves and in eight of their last 11 games on the road, the over seems like the play here tonight.

The one problem looks like the Lakers’ ability to score the ball at home, but a big reason for that has been Kobe Bryant missing most of his games at home. If he does in fact play tonight, it puts the icing on the cake of this play. The Wolves are 14-8-1 this season cashing the over on the road. Add Over as your NBA pick tonight.
