We finally busted out of our slump in a huge way last night, as we cashed both of our NBA Picks of the day, and we gave you some bonus leans that all cashed as well.

Hawks vs. Kings
Here we are again with the Kings coming off a back to back. We have talked about it extensively this season that the Kings have been solid ATS on the second half of a back to back at 6-4 ATS, but SU they have only won once in those ten games, and tonight the NBA Odds have the line in favor of the Kings at -1 against the Hawks, with a total of 216 points.

The Hawks also played last night and ended up beating up on the Blazers on the road, and with the Hawks playing very well as of late, it’s hard to bet against them tonight. Atlanta is only 5-5 ATS this season when playing on the second half of a back to back, however, they are on a nice hot streak over the last month or so, cashing 12 of their last 17 games. Even though they are only 4-3 ATS on the road during that stretch, they are 5-3 ATS on the road against the West this season, and with how bad the Kings have been SU on the second half of a back to back, I am going to take the point and take the Hawks on the moneyline tonight.

The Kings are only 2-4 ATS this season when playing at home against the East, and while they have been putting up a ton of points in their last ten games, they have also been giving up close to 110 points per game in their last ten. The Hawks have also been putting up a ton of points recently, so with their far superior defense, and with both teams coming off the back to back, I trust the Hawks a whole lot more.

The Kings have dropped five of their last six games at home ATS this season, and the Hawks already won their game against the Kings earlier this season in Atlanta. While it doesn’t mean much, it is worth noting that the Hawks have won and covered their last eight games in a row against the Kings both SU and ATS, so take the point with the superior team here in Sac-town tonight.

Spurs vs. Suns
Another late night battle tonight will likely be more like a massacre than a battle, but the Spurs are headed into Phoenix tonight as -15 favorites at some shops, with a total of 200 ½. While the spread is huge and probably very cashable for the Spurs tonight, the total presents a ton of value in my opinion. While the Suns likely won’t be able to reach the 90 point mark tonight, the Spurs might end up scoring 120 points, and if they keep their foot on the gas offensively, the over might end up being a valuable wager tonight.

As we’ve talked about before, the Spurs’ defense is the best in the league, but despite this they have been very good cashing the over on the road this season. San Antonio is averaging over 110 points per game in their last ten games and even though their recent matchups have gone under, the Spurs still cash the over at a 2/1 ratio when playing on the road this season.

San Antonio is only 3-5 this season cashing the over on the road against the West, however, with all of the injuries facing the Suns here tonight, the Spurs might end up resting some guys in this very winnable game. The Suns had four guys miss practice yesterday with various bumps and scrapes, and if all four of them can’t go, Phoenix is going to be thin tonight.

If that’s the case, it would not surprise me to see Gregg Popovich sit some of his veterans tonight. The Spurs play tomorrow night on the road in LA against the Lakers, and with all the potential injuries for the Suns, that may be a tougher game with Kobe Bryant looking set to play.

For me, the injuries and potential that Popovich sits some players on the front half of a back to back is too much for the spread, but it could mean we have more young and inexperienced players running up and down the court for both clubs tonight. With the Suns playing at an extremely fast pace, and with them giving up 111 points per game in their last ten, look for the over to be a sneaky NBA pick tonight.
