NBA Picks Of The Day: Pair Of Valuable Gems To Cash In Tonight

With a huge slate of NBA action here on Monday night, I am back to try and continue our weekend successes. Here are my two best NBA Picks of the day.

Magic vs. Celtics
The Celtics broke their four-game SU and ATS losing streak against the Sixers last night, and now they have a chance to grab two wins in a row tonight against the banged up Magic. While Orlando got back Elfrid Payton last night, they are likely still going to be without Nikola Vucevic, who has now missed eight straight games. The NBA odds have the Celtics as -8 ½ favorites tonight, but with both teams coming off the back to back, I am much more interested in the total of 215 ½.

While the Celtics are only 7-9 this season cashing the over on the second night of a back to back, recently that has changed. The Celtics have cashed the over in their last four back-to-back games in a row, and in those four games they gave up an average of 127 points.

The Magic on the other hand are 8-7 this season cashing the over on the second night of a back to back. Even though they are trending in the wrong direction when it comes to cashing the over on no rest recently, their defense has still been poor. In their last six games off the back to back, Orlando is giving up 107 points per game.

Without Vucevic, the Magic have also been playing a little faster, which should help a potential over play on tonight’s game against Boston. Even though their offense has suffered some without Vucevic, there two teams have still cashed the over in their last two meetings, and I think tonight will make the third.

Grizzlies vs. Suns
If there were a resiliency award given in the NBA every year, the Grizzlies would have already won it. Even after losing their best player for the season, and even after losing their second best player for basically the rest of the regular season, the Grizzlies have weathered on, and are still not only holding their ground in the West, they are one of the better ATS teams over the last month.

Tonight coming off their big upset win over the Clippers, the Grizzlies head into Phoenix to play the Suns. The NBA Odds have Memphis as a -2 ½ favorite on the road in this one, with a total of 204 points. While Phoenix has been playing better recently, winning three of their last four games ATS, the Grizzlies’ injuries have made them very much undervalued by the sportsbooks.

Memphis is 8-4 ATS in their last 12 games, and even though they have gone 6-6 SU during that stretch, they are starting to slowly get some of their players back. Zach Randolph came back after missing eight games with a knee injury and didn’t do much other than drop a triple-double on the Clippers. Now tonight against the Suns, even though Phoenix isn’t back at defending big men, Randolph is going to once again have to jump into the hot tub time machine for Memphis.

However, that being said, the Grizzlies seem like a great wager here tonight against the Suns. They have been horrible against the Suns this season, but that just makes for them being undervalued in this matchup. Phoenix has been solid this season as a home underdog, but I'm going to back the Grizzlies as my NBA picks, because they have been good road favorites, going 9-6 ATS.
