We split another pair of NBA Picks on Monday night, and now here on a shorter slate this Tuesday night, there should still be some great NBA Odds value. I have once again identified two plays that seem to have some really good value, and I am adding them to my plays tonight.

Nuggets vs. Sixers
The Sixers played last night in Cleveland and although they fought hard for most of the game, the Cavs star power was too much for the young Sixers. However now against a much less formidable Nuggets team, the NBA odds have the Sixers as only +6 home underdogs against the Nuggets. However while I am interested in the spread, I see the total as a much better wager. At 192 points, the over could be a very good wager, despite the recent improvements the Sixers have made on defense.

However the Nuggets are in an offensive slump right now. They haven’t scored more than 93 points in their last three games, but even against the Sixes’ newfound defense, I expect them to get into the mid 90s tonight, which would be all it takes if the Sixers can get to that level as well.

I expect Ty Lawson and the Nuggets to wear down the Sixers after they played last night on the road, and even though they are on the road, I expect a fast paced game from both teams. Philly and Denver are currently the 5th and 6th fastest teams in pace this season, so look for a fast game with a total that goes over 192 points.

Celtics vs. Knicks
In a game that likely won’t have great television viewership in the great northeast thanks to all the snow on the ground, the Celtics and Knicks tip off from Madison Square Garden tonight. The NBA Odds have the game close, favoring the Knicks at -1, with a total of 189 points. However once again, I am laying off the spread, and going instead with a wager on the total.

While the Knicks play slower than almost any team, the Celtics are a fast-paced offense under Brad Stevens. Even after trading Rajon Rondo and Jeff Green, this team still plays at a very quick pace, and I think it shows tonight in the Garden.

The over is 4-1 for Boston in their last five games against a team with a winning percentage below 40%, While almost every team has been scoring less recently, probably thanks to tired legs right before the All Star Break, I think this one is going over. The Celtics are 15-12 cashing the over against the Eastern Conference.

Even though they are at home, I could see the Knicks getting roped into playing fast tonight, and with a total of 189 points, it could easily go over if this one turns into a track meet. The Celtics have the guard personnel to turn up the tempo against the inexperienced Knicks guards, especially if Jose Calderon doesn’t play much. I’m looking for a final score of around 100-95, so take the over and add it to your NBA picks today.
