It’s an above average day of NBA Picks, with several games to choose from. I have keyed in on a couple of nice totals in the NBA Odds this evening, so after splitting a pair of NBA Picks yesterday, let’s see if we can cash both for some nice profit.
Kings vs. Hawks
The Hawks should be nice and rested coming into this game. Several of their starters sat out the game against the Sixers this past weekend, so heading home to face the Kings shouldn’t be an issue for the Hawks. The NBA odds makers seem to think so as well. The NBA Odds have the Hawks as -11 favorites, and while there is no doubt they could cover this spread, I think the total is a better value. With the Hawks rested, they should be able to put up as many points as they want against one of the league’s worst defenses.
The Kings play fast, which is one of the reason they give up so many points. However their defense hasn’t been great either, and while playing faster has helped theor offense, they’re also giving up a ton of points.
Even though the Hawks have cashed the under in eight of their last nine games, the Kings’ defense gives them a chance at cashing the over with a total of 207. The over is 5-2 for the Hawks in their last seven games when their opponent gives up 100 points or more in the previous game. On top of that, the over is 5-1 in the Kings’ last six games, and the over is 5-1 in their last six games on the road as well. Sacramento has also cashed the over in six of their last seven games versus winning teams.
NBA Pick: OVER 207
Pelicans vs. Bucks
The Pelicans are starting to play better, and their offense has looked better even without Anthony Davis. Now that Davis is back, the Pelicans offense should start ramping up even more. New Orleans has won seven of their last nine games SU, and tonight they have a chance to improve that streak with a game against the Bucks in Milwaukee. The NBA Odds have the Bucks as slight -2 favorites, but once again I’m focused on the total of 186 ½. It’s way too low if the Pelicans can continue their recent offense streak, and while the Bucks are a solid defensive team, they are going to stand no chance against the unibrow in this game.
Plus, against winning teams this season, the Bucks have been very good at cashing the over. The over is 5-2 in their last seven games against winning teams, and that is saying something considering how successful they’ve been at cashing the under. On top of that, the Pelicans have cashed the over in five of their last six games, and in nine of their last 11 games playing on only one day’s rest. Davis should have a minimum of 25 points tonight against the Bucks short front court, and the Bucks should have little problem scoring on the Pelicans in this one too. The total is far too low, so take the over and add it to your NBA picks.
