Saturday is once again presenting us with a nice large slate of NBA Odds, and I have found two more selections that, I think, will hold some nice value for your NBA Picks of the night.

Pistons vs. Nuggets
After opening the year looking like a potential playoff team in the Eastern Conference, the Pistons are starting to slip some. They have dropped three of their last five games SU, and even though one of their wins in that stretch was against the Warriors, their most recent loss to the Pelicans was pretty bad. While they were coming off the heels of a game the night before, everyone looked pretty bad outside of Andre Drummond.

Tonight they head into Denver to face a team that has been playing better as of late, and while it remains to be seen whether they can make a run at one of the final Western Conference playoff spots, they can surely give the Pistons some trouble this evening. The NBA odds have the Pistons as -3 road favorites, and while that spread is somewhat if a wash, the total of 206½ is once again calling my name for an over bet. We cashed the over in both of our NBA Picks of the day for Friday night, and at this point in the season, legs are starting to get tired, and playing hard defense every night is getting more of a challenge.

That’s why I see the over being another pretty solid play for these two teams. Detroit is still a solid defensive team in the Defensive Ratings, as they still rank 7th in the NBA in DRtg at 103.2. However, in their last three games, the Pistons have given up an average of 113 points per game, and with their offense ramping up averaging almost 104 points per game in their last ten contests, I am on the over in this one.

The over has now cashed in five of the last six games for the Pistons, and also in five of their last seven road games. The Nuggets on the other hand have cashed the over in five straight games overall, and also in five straight home games. With Denver cashing the over at 15-7 at home this year, I’m looking that way for value tonight.

Lakers vs. Blazers
Normally I don’t trust subpar teams as double-digit favorites, however tonight the NBA Odds have the Blazers as -11 favorites at home against the Lakers, with a total of 207. While the over once again seems like a solid wager with the total moving upward from where it opened, I am more intrigued by the Blazers laying the points in this one. This line has also been moving upward, and after opening as -9 ½ favorites at home, the Blazers find themselves well into the double figures.

With Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum back and shooting the ball well at home, I can’t see the Blazers doing anything else but blowing out LA tonight. Even though the Lakers have been solid this season on the heels of a back to back at 6-4 ATS, the home to road back to back always gives teams more trouble, and the Lakers have already been blown out twice before this season by the Blazers.

There is also the possibility that Kobe Bryant might sit this one out on the second half of a back to back, and while that is simple speculation, after playing 27 minutes last night at home against the Spurs, it’s not out of the question.

The Lakers have dropped their last five games ATS against the Blazers dating back to last season, and while Portland hasn’t been great ATS this season, they are still 8-6 ATS at home against the West. The Lakers on the other hand are only 4-10 ATS on the road in conference games, so lay the points with confidence tonight for your NBA picks.
