Tonight should be a good night after we crashed last night. I have found two more potentially winning NBA Picks for tonight, and I am releasing them free of charge.

Magic vs. Mavericks
Orlando has been playing much faster recently after trading Tobias Harris at the deadline, and while it has not translated into wins, it has translated into more points for both the Magic and their opponents. Now Orlando has to travel into Dallas to play the Mavericks, and the NBA Odds have the Mavs as -5 favorites, but the total of 214 points is where I am looking at here tonight. The over has been cashing well for us over the last week or so, and with the total already creeping upward from 213 to 214, I am following the movement and going over with this one tonight.

In their last six games, the Magic have given up an average of 113 points per game, and that included two games against the Sixers where they gave up even more than that. The Mavs haven’t been much better recently either. Dallas has given up 111 points per game in their last seven games sandwiching the All Star Break, and in those same seven games the Mavs have scored an average of 117 points per game.

While both teams for the season play at paces that fall in the lower third of the league, with their recent play has come a faster pace. Orlando for instance has played at a pace of at least 101 in four of their last five games, and if they speed up Dallas tonight, this game is going to be full of points and have very little defense. The over has now cashed in five of the last six games for the Magic, and in eight games in a row for the Mavericks as well. Look for the over to once again be a good NBA pick here tonight.

Nets vs. Lakers
While the Sixers are the only team currently that has been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, the Nets and Lakers will be right behind them, and with that comes tanking and less defense. Tonight with the Nets coming off the back to back, that may be exactly what we see here tonight. The Lakers come into this one as a -1½ favorite at home, but once again the total of 210 ½ seems a little low, despite going down some from where it opened at 212½.

While the Nets have had some struggles scoring the ball on no rest this season, this is not a true back to back for Brooklyn considering they played one LA team last night and got to stay in the same hotel for their game tonight. While Brooklyn has struggled with their offense at times, it’s starting to look a little better, especially against bad teams. Even last night though, despite only scoring 35 points in the 2nd and 4th quarters combined, the Nets still got to 95 total points for the game. I doubt the Nets or their bench have that much trouble scoring against the Lakers tonight, who may have the worst defense in the league.

Los Angles is giving up an astonishing 119 points per game over their last six games, and the over has now cashed in four of those six games. While the Nets have now cashed the under in two straight games, since the middle of January, the Nets are 15-6 cashing the over, and I expect more of the same here tonight between these two lottery bound teams.
