We were able to win one of our NBA Picks last night and push the other one, so after another winning night in the NBA Odds, here are my two best bets for the Saturday slate of NBA action.

Blazers vs. Sixers
The Blazers played last night in Brooklyn and won pretty easily against the Nets and now they head into Philadelphia to play the Sixers. Philly almost beat the slumping Bulls the other night, and while they are playing better recently, the Sixers are a +5½ underdog at home tonight with a total of 207 points.

Playing on the back to back this season, Portland has not been great on the second half of a back to back this season at 4-7 ATS, however one area that has been good for them on no rest has been the total. Portland is 7-4 this season cashing the over this season when playing on the second half of a back to back, and I think tonight against the Sixers could be another great opportunity to cash the over.

The Blazers are 13-10 cashing the over on the road this season, and in their last ten games they have given up 104 points per game. Compare that to the Sixers who have been great at cashing the over at home this season at 13-5, and you have a nice spot for the over tonight. Even though they have not played one another yet this season, the over has cashed in the last two meetings between the two.

The over has also cashed in four of the last five games for the Blazers and six of their last seven on the road. For the Sixers, the over has cashed in four of their last five games as well, and they have given up 107 points per game in their last ten games, so take the over tonight and add it to your NBA Picks.

Lakers vs. Jazz
The Lakers should have Kobe Bryant for this game tonight after he played two nights ago in Oakland, and because of that the Jazz come into this one as a -7½ favorite against LA, with a low total of 190½ points. However, even though Derrick Favors has been ruled out once again for this game due to ongoing back spasms, the Jazz still seem like a pretty good play.

LA will have some trouble scoring the ball in Utah tonight for multiple reasons. The Lakers’ road scoring this season has not been great this year at 97.5 points per game, and even though Utah’s defense has been regressing overall, their home defense has been very good this season. They are giving up the fourth fewest points in the league at home this season at 96 per game, and with the Lakers giving up nearly 110 points per game on the road this season, the Jazz are a great bargain tonight.

While the Jazz are only 2-4 against the NBA odds in their last six games, they have covered in three of the last four matchups against the Lakers, including once already this season. With the Lakers only winning once this season on the road against the Western Conference, and coming into this game only 4-9 ATS on the road against the West, look for the Jazz to win and cover this one tonight.
