What better way to start off the week than by picking out a couple winners? Let's dive into the NBA odds and see what we can come up with to make some money with our NBA picks.

Indiana Pacers vs. Chicago Bulls
The Bulls have won two in a row to improve to 6-3 on the season, as they get set to play host to Paul George and the Pacers in a Central Division battle in the Windy City.

When we check out the NBA odds, we see Chicago pinned as a firm six-point favorite at most of the top online sportsbooks. For those more interested in trying to beat the total, the O/U can currently be found at 199 points. We've gotten accustomed to these two teams being defensive juggernauts in recent seasons, but we need to get rid of that recency bias, as both teams have been playing at higher tempos so far this season.

Chicago has picked up a couple consecutive wins, albeit against questionable competition in Philadelphia and Charlotte, but the offense has been clicking nicely, putting up a combined 219 points in the two victories. Jimmy Butler continues to play at a high level, and Derrick Rose seems to be getting more and more effective too.

It's not going to be a walk in the park against the Pacers tonight, however, as they've been one of the hotter teams in the league recently. Indiana has won three straight and five of six to move to 6-4 overall, and George has been an instrumental part of the team's success. He hasn't shown any signs of regression following that horrific leg break, and he figures to have another big impact this evening against Chicago.

That's part of the reason why we think the Pacers could hold nice value as road underdogs tonight. They've proven over the last couple of weeks that they should be in the playoff conversation in the East, and they have one of the best players in the league on their side. That never hurts. Chicago, meanwhile, has shown a little inconsistency, so we're going to take the points that come with this in-form Indiana squad.

Boston Celtics vs. Houston Rockets
Our next pick comes in Houston's home game against Boston, a team that picked up an impressive road win in Oklahoma City last night.

Sure, the Thunder were without Kevin Durant, but they still have a ton of talent (have you heard of Russell Westbrook?) and they have a great home-court advantage too. The Celtics weren't scared off though and used a great second half effort to earn the 100-85 win, their second straight victory -- the first of which came at home in another impressive 106-93 triumph over Atlanta.

Tonight the odds are in Houston's favor though, as they look to bounce back from a three-game losing streak. The Rockets have lost to Brooklyn, Denver and Dallas over the last week, so we know they're going to be motivated to get back on track, particularly in front of the home fans.

We should also see big man Dwight Howard back on the court after he sat out the last game (the second game of a back-to-back set), and that's obviously a significant boost to the Rockets' chances of grabbing the victory. The tandem of Howard and James Harden should have plenty of success tonight, especially since they come up against a Celtics team that's been playing at a lightning quick pace this season. That plays right into Houston's favor in this spot.

So, to wrap up our plays of the day, we're going to jump on the Rockets and expect a bounce-back performance at home. They should be able to outlast the Celtics, who are playing their second game in as many days, so we'll lay the number here.

NBA Pick: Houston Rockets -5 at Pinnacle
