A strong showing tonight and tomorrow could make this a huge week for us, and I have two plays to start out Saturday that look like tremendous value in the NBA Odds.

Wizards vs. Hornets
Both these teams played last night, as the Hornets barely lost to the Heat, and the Wizards took care of business against the Sixers pretty easily. However, the Hornets got to stay at home in the rare home to home back to back this season, and while neither team has been good against the NBA odds when coming off no rest this season, the total of 208½ actually looks like a much better wager than the spread that is favoring the Hornets at -4½.

While Washington has been great at cashing the over on the second night of a back to back, the Hornets have been much better at cashing the under on no rest. They are 6-2 this season cashing the under when coming off a game the night before, and the Hornets have cashed the under in four straight games coming off no rest.

Sure, the Wizards’ defense has been awful this season, and the Hornets will likely be able to score whenever they want, but they will also slow down the Wizards a lot in this one, and that could easily make the total in this one too high. The Hornets play at a pace of 95.5 this season, and on the back to back if that slows down any, the Wizards might not get enough shots to run up the score like they have in other back to backs.

Despite Washington’s consistency recently with cashing the over on back to backs, the under has actually been trending more for this team lately. The under has cashed in sox of Washington’s last nine games, and for the Hornets they have cashed the under in four of their last five overall as well, including cashing the under at 5-2 in their last seven home games. Dating back to last season, the under is also 5-2 in these two divisional rivals last seven contests against one another.

Thunder vs. Warriors
The big showdown we have all been waiting for this past week is finally here, as the Warriors welcome in the Thunder for what should be an epic showdown. Much like any other big regular season game though, the sportsbooks have inflated this line a ton in hopes of influencing betting on one side, and if you take a look at the total of 231 points, it has not worked. After opening at 233½, bettors quickly realized how ridiculously high that total truly was, and even after dropping a few points due to betting influences, the total is still too high where it currently sits.

This is by far the biggest total we have seen all season, and even with the very good offenses and paces from both teams, I sincerely doubt these two rivals just forget about defense in what is going to be one of the more watched regular season games of the year so far. Neither one of these teams are bad on defense, and in this playoff-style game, defense will likely be what wins or losses the game.

Even though the most recent game was a shoot out in Oklahoma City, does not mean the same result will happen in Golden State. Golden State is allowing less than 100 points per game in games at Oracle Arena, and while the Thunder have not been great on the road on defense this season, they still wont give up 120 points in this one. I’m seeing a final score of 115-108, take Under as the NBA pick, which would still be well below the huge total the sportsbooks have gifted us with this evening.
