After a depressing day of NBA Picks where I lost ground to Swinging Johnson, I am back once again to try & make up for it. I have 2 more plays for you tonight, so follow along if you like winning!
Nets vs. Sixers
Much like the Bobcats before them, and now the Knicks this season, the Sixers have been labeled as one of the worst teams in the league. While that may be true, they also haven’t been half bad recently, especially in the second half of the season. Now they welcome in the Nets to the Wells Fargo Center, and the NBA odds board have the Sixers as +5 ½ home dogs, with a total of 195 ½. While the Nets have been better overall in the second half too, they are still extremely inconsistent. Also you have to factor in that the Sixers have been covering a ton at home recently.
Philadelphia is 10-3 ATS in their last 13 home games, and they are undefeated in their last four games on Saturday night. On top of that, they are 4-1 ATS in their last five games as underdog, and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall. The Nets on the other hand have not been that great ATS as favorites recently. Brooklyn is 0-5 ATS in their last five games as favorites, and they are only 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against losing teams. Brooklyn has also lost their last five games overall ATS, and with Philly playing better overall, I see the Sixers covering this one as home dogs. Take the points.
My NBA Pick: Sixers +5 ½ at 5Dimes
Pistons vs. Jazz
The Pistons got worked by the Blazers last night and weren’t even in the game after the first half, and now they have to head into Utah to play one of the better defensive teams in the NBA. The NBA Odds have the Jazz as -7 ½ favorite in this one, with a total of 184 points. After getting beat down by the Blazers last night, the Pistons don’t look too good tonight here either. The Jazz have given up over 90 points only a couple of times since making the move to trade Enes Kanter and start Rudy Gobert. Going against that interior defense is going to be a nightmare for the Pistons, and I see the Jazz covering because of it.
The Jazz are 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games, and they are 9-3-2 ATS overall in their last 14 games. The Pistons on the other hand are only 1-4 ATS in their last five games, ad they are only 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing records. Granted the Jazz aren’t playing like a losing team recently, but still that makes things even more bleak for the Pistons. Detroit has been good recently after a bad loss ATS, however they also might not be ale to do anything about it tonight against that defense. Lay the points with Utah as your NBA pick at home tonight.
My NBA Pick: Jazz -7 ½ at The Greek
