We split a pair of Picks last night, but tonight’s slate has a lot more value than Monday’s bare NBA Odds. Tuesday evening should bring about a much-needed win, so once again here are my NBA Picks of the day.

Lakers vs. Hornets
This was probably a once very good rivalry between East and West teams, but now it’s nothing more than a meaningless March game with two teams who are likely destined for the lottery. However that doesn’t mean there isn’t any NBA Odds value in this one. The Hornets come in as big -8 favorites, however I am a bit more focused on the total of 193 tonight. It’s a bit too low for the fast-paced Lakers, who rank 10th in the NBA in pace of game. Although Charlotte tries to slow the game down as much as possible, without Kemba Walker it’s been hard for them to play a half-court game. This is just another reason why the over could be in play tonight.

While the under has been trending for the Hornets recently with their marked improvements on the defensive end, the Lakers are still going to present them with problems. Plus, the over has been almost a lock for the Lakers over the last ten days. The over is 5-0 for the Lakers in their last five games, and the over is 5-0 in their last five games as underdogs. Also dating back several seasons, the over is 32-14-1 for the Lakers in their last 47 games as road dogs between +5 and +10 ½. I see a final score of around 100-94 in this on, so take the over and add it to your NBA Picks.

My Free NBA Pick: OVER 193

Bucks vs. Nuggets
The Bucks got worse at the trade deadline but it was almost get worse or get really worse in regards to the Brandon Knight trade. They were not going to be able to match an offer sheet for Knight when they have both Jabari Parker and Giannis Antetokounmpo probably demanding max deals in the next three or four years. However they did pretty good in getting Michael Carter-Williams back as the main piece. If Jason Kidd can continue helping him like he did with Knight this season, the Bucks will be just fine as long as they can draft another point guard in the near future.

However that won’t help them tonight against the dumpster fire that is the Denver Nuggets right now. They have been so dysfunctional ever since Masai Ujiri left for Toronto, and even though he isn’t without blame, he is not the reason for this collapse.

However tonight the Nuggets are at home, and as home underdogs in the NBA Odds. This tie they are +5 underdogs, but I am once again looking at the total here of 191. Once again, this total is a bit too low for these two teams. Despite the Bucks’ good defense giving up only 96 points per game, they do give up a few more points on the road than they do at home, and while neither team has been great at cashing the over recently, if the game is sloppy and fast paced, the over looks like it could once again be a sneaky play.

The over is 6-1 for the Bucks in their last seven games against losing teams, and it’s also 4-1 in their last five as favorites.

My Free NBA Pick: OVER 191
