After a successful Sunday, we're hoping to keep it going into Monday and start the week off right. Let's examine the NBA odds and try to gain an edge.

A modest seven-game slate awaits us on Monday, with some very interesting matchups on the board, namely the showdowns between Golden State/Memphis and Houston/Oklahoma City. Which NBA picks stand out most to us? Read on below.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Cleveland Cavaliers
Following a season-opening loss to the Bulls, the Cavaliers have taken out their frustrations over their last two games, crushing Memphis 106-76 on the road and then topping Miami 102-92 at home on Friday night. That dominant road win over the Grizzlies was especially impressive for LeBron James and company.

Tonight the Cavs will be aiming for a third consecutive win, and they're priced out as huge favorites on the NBA odds board against the 76ers. Current lines have Cleveland favored by 13 points at a lot of the top sportsbooks, with a total of 193 available at time of writing.

LeBron has done his part, as usual, early on this season, hoisting up averages of 22.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 4.7 assists through the first three games. He has to be ecstatic to have a healthy Kevin Love by his side, especially with Kyrie Irving still out, as the big man is averaging 19.7 points, 11.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists thus far. The likes of Mo Williams, Richard Jefferson, Timofey Mozgov, and Matthew Dellevedova among others have all been playing significant minutes and are all playing important roles for the team right now.

You'd have to think Cleveland will be licking their chops at the prospects of facing Philadelphia this evening, and the odds are certainly in their favor. After all, the 76ers have looked awful to start the season, losing 112-95 on the road at Boston in their opener and then getting crushed 99-71 at home versus the Jazz. One of the biggest positives despite the slow start has been the play of rookie Jahlil Okafor, who's averaged 18.0 points and 6.5 rebounds in those two losses.

While Philadelphia does have some very good young talent, namely in the frontcourt with Okafor and Nerlens Noel, this is a franchise that still has a long way to go, and there are going to be plenty more growing pains along the way. We don't anticipate the 76ers having much chance of sticking around with Cleveland this evening, and so we'll take on all of the chalk and be on the lookout for another blowout.

New York Knicks vs. San Antonio Spurs
To be honest, we're pretty shocked the Knicks have managed to win two of their first three games of the season, especially since both of those victories (over Milwaukee and then Washington) came on the road. New York was a hefty underdog in both games but ended up winning straight up and delighting those that backed them both on the ML and against the spread.

In spite of the encouraging start, the Knicks have been classified as seven-point underdogs for this evening's home tilt with San Antonio, one of the top contenders to win the title this season.

We saw San Antonio open with a tough road loss against Oklahoma City, but this experienced group has since bounced back with wins over the Nets (102-75) and Boston (95-87). LaMarcus Aldridge, who was brought to the team over the summer, completely dominated the Celtics finishing with 24 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists in 35 minutes. Of course, these Spurs have plenty of other key cogs, namely Kawhi Leonard, who has gotten off to another great start early on.

The Knicks have enjoyed a surprisingly solid opening stretch in their 2015-16 season, but we don't see the good times rolling here against the loaded Spurs.

At some point or another, San Antonio should be able to pull away and notch the comfortable win on the road. They simply have way more talent from top to bottom, so we'll be backing Gregg Popovich's crew to cover this reasonably large spread tonight.

NBA Pick: San Antonio Spurs -7 at Bovada
