NBA Picks Of The Day: Gamble & Profit Off Our Winning Duo

Terrible Tuesday is upon us with only four NBA games on the slate. However, despite the smaller slate of action, I have still found two NBA picks from that look like winners.

Knicks vs. Hawks
Two teams that got to take Monday off are headed on a collision course towards one another tonight to tip off the slate. The NBA odds have the Hawks as -8 favorites in this one, with a total of 203½. This will be the fourth meeting between these two teams already this season, and in all three games the winner won the game by double figures. The Hawks have blown out the Knicks twice this season, while the Knicks dominated Atlanta just two nights ago in New York.

However, now that they are back in Phillip Arena, I think the Hawks have a pretty good shot at redemption tonight. We have seen this Hawks team go up and down this season, but being at home tonight should help their chances. Atlanta is only 2-3-1 ATS in their last six home games this season, but compare that to the Knicks who are only 2-9 SU in their last 11 road games this season, and you have a great chance at cashing a winner by laying the points.

Even though New York is 11-7 ATS on the road this year, most of those wins came earlier in the season when they were being severely undervalued. Coming into this game, the Knicks have gone 0-4 SU and ATS in their last four road games, and with the exception of road ATS and SU wins versus the Sixers and the Blazers without Damian Lillard, the Knicks lost their three road games both SU and ATS before those two cookie cutter road games. If you’re keeping track, that means NY is only 2-7 ATS in their last nine road games after starting the year 9-0 ATS on the road. The Hawks are 5-4-1 ATS this season when playing a conference opponent at home, and I see them keeping that winning trend alive tonight versus a regressing Knicks team.

Kings vs. Mavs
Other than the Warriors, the only team coming off a back to back and playing again tonight is the Kings, and the NBA Odds have them as a +5 underdog after they beat the Thunder who were without Kevin Durant last night. I am tempted by the total in this one of 214 points with the Kings coming off the back to back, but it is simply too big and volatile for my liking tonight.

Instead I am leaning towards laying the points once again for our NBA picks on Tuesday night. Coming off a game the night before this season, the Kings are only 4-4 ATS, but after starting the year off at 3-1 ATS on the second night of a back to back, the Kings have dropped their last three back to backs as we get into the heart of the season, and even more concerning for Kings backers tonight is they have yet to win a game SU on the second night of a back to back. Despite covering in three of their first four, that was in November when legs weren’t as tired. While the Kings have only been blown out a few times on a back to back, it could happen tonight after their big emotional win against the Thunder just a night ago.

While the Kings already beat the Mavs once this season in Sacramento, Dallas has been tough at home at 10-6 ATS this season. With Sacramento giving up a league-worse 110.2 points per game on the road this season, I see the Mavs coming through ATS tonight.
