It’s another fine night for some NBA Picks, as we have three playoff games on tonight for your viewing and betting pleasure. We split a pair of picks last night, however I think we can jump back on it this evening to try and cash a pair of plays in the NBA Odds.

Nets vs. Hawks
The Nets try to avoid going down 0-2 tonight as they head back into Phillips Arena to play the Hawks. After their Game 1 win, the NBA odds have the Hawks as -9 ½ favorites tonight, with a total of 201 ½. While the Hawks are truly capable of blowing out the Nets here like they almost did in Game 1, I am a bit more focused on the total tonight of 201 ½.

This game should be lower scoring again, and after cashing the under in Game 1, I am heading back to the well tonight. At 201 ½, this total is still a few points too high for this series. As games go on in the playoffs, especially as we get deeper into series, the scores are going to get lower. It almost always happens this way, and this series seems no different. The Hawks’ defense is good enough to hold this Nets team to 90 points or less tonight, and if that’s the case, the under is an incredible value.

The under is 4-1 for the Hawks when they have has two days to rest in between games, and the under is 5-2 in their last seven home games now dating back to the regular season. The under is 4-1 for the Nets in their last five games, and the under is 13-5 for the Nets in their last 18 road games against teams with home winning percentages of 60% or better.

My Pick: UNDER 201 ½ at Pinnacle

Blazers vs. Grizzlies
The first matchup in this series was all Memphis, and even though LaMarcus Aldridge did his best to keep the Blazers in the game, he could not beat up the Grizzlies by himself. In the end the Memphis defense was simply too good, and I see them heading in that direction again tonight. The NBA Odds have the Grizzlies as -6 ½ favorites tonight at home, and after winning their last five games in a row against the Blazers, I could see them doing it again tonight.

Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph were virtually unstoppable in Game 1 of this series, and while neither of them shot the ball very well, their play on both ends of the floor really helped Memphis in this series. Robin Lopez cannot defend Gasol, and I see him going off again tonight. In Game 1 Gasol went for 15 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists, and an across the board contribution tonight is likely.

Memphis is now 5-1 ATS in their last six home games, and in their last 13 first round playoff games, the Grizzlies are 9-3-1 ATS. Top that off with Memphis covering their last four games in a row, and with the Blazers being 0-5 ATS in their last five games against teams with winning percentages of 60% or better, and you have another good value NBA pick with Memphis. Portland is only 1-5 ATS in their last six playoff games as underdogs.

My Pick: Grizzlies -6 ½  at The Greek
