Huge night of NBA Odds, with plenty of playoff implications on the line. However I have found 2 games that don’t mean a lot in the playoff perspective, but they might be great adds to your NBA Picks.

Sixers vs. Wizards
The Washington Wizards are not a good basketball team. I tell people in the DC area this all of the time, and they still don’t believe me, but it’s getting harder and harder to ignore. Washington already clinched a playoff berth despite going 16-22 SU since January 9th. In the West they would have been eliminated from the playoffs with that record, but that’s the Eastern Conference for you. However while they have yet to clinch anything but an assured spot, this game could be troublesome for the Wizards, even against the Sixers. The NBA odds have the Wizards as -11 favorites here at home, but I could see them not living up to expectations once again tonight and failing to cover.

The Sixers haven’t been great ATS this season, but recently they are 5-3 ATS in their last eight games, which is more than serviceable. Washington on the other hand is lost their last six games ATS, they are 3-7 ATS in their last ten home games, and they are only 5-15 ATS in their last 20 games as favorites. On top of all of that, Washington is only 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against teams with winning percentages of less than 40%.

What makes this play even better is that the Wizards can really afford to lose this game. They are three games back of a home game to start the playoffs with only eight games to go, and it doesn’t help that the Raptors don’t play a winning team for the rest of the season. On top of that the Bucks are a full five games back of the Wizards in the 6th seed. Washington could take this game easy, and that’s not going to be good for their ATS prospects. Take the points with Philly.

My NBA Pick: Sixers +11 at 5Dimes

Pelicans vs. Lakers
The final game of the evening features a couple of teams with little to no playoff hopes, but it could still hold some nice NBA Odds value. Right now the Lakers are a +7 ½ home dog to the Pelicans in this one, however the total presents a much better option tonight at 194 ½. The Pelicans are still in striking distance of the Thunder for the 8th seed, as New Orleans is only 2 ½ games back of the Thunder for the final seed in the West. A game like this presents a nice opportunity to put pressure on a banged up Thunder team, who has a tougher game tonight against the Mavs in Oklahoma City.

New Orleans will not take this game lightly, and with how much tanking the Lakers have been doing recently, it would not surprise me to see them rest some players tonight for literally no reason other than they want to guarantee a loss. While the spread is inviting as well, with the total dropping, I think it’s actually opening up some value tonight.

The Lakers have cashed the over in two games in a row and three of their last five games overall, while the Pelicans have cashed the over in four of their last five overall games, and in six of their last ten overall as well. The over is also 6-2 for the Pels in their last eight games versus teams with losing records. So for this NBA pick take the over tonight as well.

My NBA Pick: OVER 194 ½ at The Greek
