My hot streak has evened out over the last days, however throughout the playoffs I’m still 15-5 in my NBA Picks. Tonight I’m trying to jump back on the winning train with 2 picks from the NBA Odds.

Mavs vs. Rockets
Dallas came to play in Game 4 and survived enough to push the series back to a Game 5 in Houston, and that game is tonight with the Rockets as a -7 favorite, with a total of 221 ½. Dallas has now scored over 120 points in their last two games against the Rockets, ad it looks like the Rajon Rondo injury has turned this offense around. However it has also turned their defense down, and it’s forcing the Mavs to score an abundance of points in order to get a win. That happened two nights ago, and I could see it happening again.

However, I’m not taking the points with the Mavs on the road, but I will bet the over again. We talked about it before this series started. These totals have continued to climb, and the over has likely been a great bet for everyone. Now as the series shifts back to Houston, the Rockets offense might be the one to score 125 in this one, and if either of these teams can get to at least 115, the over looks like another great value.

The over is now 8-2 in the Rockets last ten games overall dating back to the regular season, and the over is 8-1 in their last nine home games, and 7-3 in their last ten first round playoff games. Take the over tonight and add it to your NBA picks.

My Pick: OVER 221 ½ at BetOnline

Tuesday's NBA Picks Against the Spread: Mavs & Spurs Will Cover

Spurs vs. Clippers
Every time I watch this series I think about how it’s a shame that one of them is going to lose and miss out on the second and third rounds. After a big Clippers win to tie the series in San Antonio, they head back to LA tonight for a huge, pivotal Game 5. The NBA odds have the Clippers as -2 favorites in this one, but once again I am looking toward the total at 205 points. In this pivotal Game 5, defense will have to be what brings home the win for both of these teams, and while I don’t know which team is going to bring it more, the total might be a bit too high for this type of game.

The Spurs failed to score more than 92 points in their first game against the Clippers in this series, and if Game 2 had not gone into overtime, that one would have fallen under the total as well. The winner of this game will likely be the winner of the series, so look for both teams to bring the noise on defense.

The under is now 7-3 in the Clippers last ten games dating back to the regular season, and including their two home games this series, the under is 5-1 in their last six home games. Look for this one to fall under as well, so add the 205 number to your NBA picks before the sportsbooks lower these NBA odds.

My Pick: UNDER 205 at 5Dimes
