It’s a stacked night of NBA action with 11 games on the slate. The NBA Odds are quite valuable this evening, and I am back to release my two sharp NBA picks of the day.

Heat vs. Pacers
Before the season I figured the Pacers would have back to the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference, and I even had their ceiling pegged around the 4th best team in the East. Through the first quarter of the season, they might not only be in the top four, they might be the best team in the East. The Cavs and Bulls are going through their respective troubles, while the book is still out on Indiana’s opponent, but even without their valued rookie, Myles Turner, the Pacers look like a team that’s closer to a championship than anyone originally thought.

The NBA Odds tonight have the Pacers as -5 favorites with a total of 196 1/2. Even with their loss to Golden State, Indiana has looked very good over the course of the young season. In their last ten games, the Pacers are averaging 112 points per game, and even against the good defense of the Heat, the Pacers might be able to best them. Miami has been good too but a ton of their games have been at home, and they are finally testing legitimate road tests. The Hornets dominated them the other night in Charlotte, and I think the Pacers are going to do the same tonight.

The Heat are only 4-8 ATS in their last 12 games, and 2-4 ATS on the road this season. Look for the Pacers to cover tonight.

Hornets vs. Grizzlies
Speaking of undervalued teams, the NBA odds have the Hornets as +3 ½ road underdogs tonight in Memphis, and even though the Grind House on Beale Street is a tough place to play, the Grizzlies haven’t been as tough this season. On the other hand, the Hornets are popping up as one of the best teams in the East in the early-season advanced metrics, and they are once again undervalued tonight. Even on the road, the Hornets’ offense should be able to put up points against Memphis. Plus, the sportsbooks continue to make the Grizzlies out as more than just the slight above average team they are, and with that comes an overvaluing.

While the Hornets have covered and won their last three games, and have covered in 13 of their 21 games this season, the Grizzlies are only 2-5 ATS in their last seven games, and they are 0-5 ATS at home in their last five games there. If that doesn’t smell like a team that the public and books overvalue, I don’t know what else I can do to convince you the Hornets are the play tonight. Fading the Grizzlies has paid off for me already this season, so take the points and add it to your NBA picks tonight.
