It’s another big night in the NBA, and after a smaller Monday card of NBA Odds, Tuesday brings a few more selections for us. I have found two games tonight that I am particularly intrigued by, and I am giving them to you for free in my NBA Picks of the day.

Take a look at Tuesday's NBA Betting Odds Report for a rundown of all free picks on offer today.

Wizards vs. Knicks
New York has looked pretty good so far this season outside of getting blown out by the Bulls on opening night. Tonight they play host to the Wizards, a team that should be one of the better squads in the East, and one of them will find themselves at 3-1 after tonight. The NBA Odds favor the Knicks here at -1 ½, however can we really trust them to cover against a good team like Washington.

Obviously the Wiz are still without Bradley Beal, however with the addition of Paul Pierce, and the depth they have down low, it’s going to be hard for the Knicks to beat them. Outside of Samuel Dalembert, the Knicks don’t have a lot of interior defense. Amare Stoudemire is not a great defender, and with both Marcin Gortat and Nene playing well, one of them is bound to go off tonight in New York.

Washington is 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games following a SU win, and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games following an ATS win. On top of that, dating back to last season the Wizards are now 13-5 ATS in their last 18 games, and 21-8 ATS in their last 29 games as an underdog. Don’t undervalue the Wizards tonight in the Garden. I expect them to control the glass , the tempo and probably the game. We are offering up the Wizards as the first of our free NBA picks and taking the points.

Free NBA Pick: Wizards +1 ½

Cavaliers vs. Blazers
Lebron James takes his traveling show out west tonight to face the Blazers, and the NBA Odds have the Cavs as -2 ½ road favorites, with a total of 202. The Blazers have been out of sorts to start the season. After beating a short-handed Thunder team on opening night, they have lost two straight to the Kings and Warriors, and they don’t seem to have the same intensity. LaMarcus Aldridge hasn’t been rebounding well, and their bench seems to have regressed with Steve Blake and Chris Kaman.

They have a tough task tonight as well trying to slow down the Cavs, and at -2 ½, even though it seems like the public is going to be all over it, laying the two and a half points looks too good to pass on.

James should have another big game like he did against the Bulls on Friday night, and after the long weekend to rest from that big game, all of the Cavs should be rested and ready for this game. I expect Cleveland to own the boards with the Blazers not rebounding well to start the season, and for the Cavs to be the play.

Portland is only 1-7 ATS following an ATS loss, 3-9 ATS in their last 12 home games dating back to last season and 1-6 ATS in their last seven games following a SU loss. When it rains is pours in Portland, and that’s not a weather report.

Free NBA Pick: Cavs -2 ½
