Plenty of NBA Odds tonight, and of course it’s Friday, so that means Swinging Johnson and I are locked into a battle. Here are my NBA Picks for Friday.

Pistons vs. Magic
These two teams are going places, just not this season. However tonight the NBA odds have this one pegged to be a pretty close game. The sportsbooks have the Pistons favored at -1 ½ on the road, with a total of 196 ½. Detroit has been without their star power forward, Greg Monroe for a few games, and he didn’t practice yesterday, which puts his status for this one in doubt tonight. However while Swinger still thinks the Pistons are a solid play, I am shying away from the spread in this one, and going instead with a play on the over.

Both of these teams have cashed the over in four of their last five games, and for the Magic, they have cashed the over in six of their last seven home games. The over is 2-1 between these two teams this season, and the most recent matchup had a total of 209 ½, and the final score ended at 118-128. I could easily see a game similar to the one this evening, even without Monroe giving good scoring for the Pistons. The over is 4-0 in the Magic’s last four games against losing road teams, and with the way these two play defense, it should play tonight. Orlando has given up 109 points per game in their last six games. However while the Pistons have been playing well in their last five games, on the road this month they have regressed. They are giving up right at 100 points per game on the road this month, compared to 96 points per game in their last three home games.

My NBA Pick: OVER 196 ½ at BetOnline

Warriors vs. Grizzlies
In what should be the game of the night, the Grizzlies play host to the Warriors this evening, as both of the top teams in the West do battle. The NBA Odds have the Grizzlies as +3 ½ home underdogs in this one, with a total of just 198 ½. In their first meeting this season, the Grizzlies beat down the Warriors 105-98, and they covered as -3 ½ favorites. Now they are +3 ½ underdogs, and even though the Warriors look like the best team in the NBA, the Grizzlies have the size and defenders to matchup up with them well, and I could easily see Memphis covering here as valuable NBA pick tonight.

Memphis is 7-1-1 in their last nine games against teams with winning percentages of 60 percent or better. On top of that, while the Warriors have been good at home this season, on the road (especially recently) has not been as kind to them. Since around the trade deadline, the Warriors are only 4-9 ATS on the road, and against a solid Memphis team that is finally healthy, I could see the Dubs going down tonight. While it doesn’t mean a lot considering how they have played this season, the Grizzlies are 4-1 SU in their last five meetings with the Warriors at the Fed-Ex Forum.

My NBA Pick: Grizzlies +3 ½ at The Greek
