Another night of NBA action last night came with another night of splitting a pair of NBA Picks, don't make a move without reading this betting preview, join us inside.

Hornets vs. Wizards
Right now the NBA odds have the Hornets as -1 favorites on the road in the capital city tonight, but there is no total out on the NBA odds boards as of this morning. This could be for several reasons, but the main one is there are a ton of injury question marks on this game that could have a big impact on the final score.

For starters, Nicholas Batum missed Thursday’s game for the Hornets with an illness and Jeremy Lin got the start in his place. However, Batum did make the trip to DC yesterday, so at the very least he was well enough to see if he can go tonight. Since he made the trip it makes me think that his status tonight should be good to go. However, even if he doesn’t play, the Hornets are still the superior team to the Wizards, but it will add a ton of value to this NBA pick if he does indeed play. Batum has been the Hornets best player this season along with Kemba Walker, and he has transformed the Hornets back into a playoff contender in the East.

Speaking of injuries, the Wizards are going through it right now with their own problems, and two of their starters could be down for this game. They are already dealing with the loss of Bradley Beal to his leg injury, but Otto Porter could also miss this one. Porter had to leave Wednesday’s game early and he did not practice yesterday, which is not a great sign for his status. Without him, and if Batum plays, the Wizards are going to be in trouble in this one, because rookie, Kelly Oubre will have to lock in on Batum, which needless to say is a mismatch.

The Hornets are 7-1 ATS in their last eight games against the Wizards over the last few seasons, and at 14-10-1 ATS on the year, and 6-4 ATS on the road as well, I am backing the Hornets laying one point on the road. Washington is only 1-5 SU in their last six games, and they are 2-4 ATS during that same stretch. Plus, over their last 10 games, Washington has given up more than 107 points per game.

Pacers vs. Grizzlies
Both of these teams played last night and now both have to travel into Memphis to play this evening. The NBA Odds are favoring Memphis by only -1 here, with a total of 198½, and while I am tempted to take the loan point with the Pacers here, the better play might be the total of 198½. While both of these teams have been better at cashing the over at home for Memphis, and on the road for the Pacers, I am actually breaking away from the trends here and going with the under. With both teams off the back-to-back, tired legs might play a bigger factor in this one, and while the Pacers are playing much faster this season than they did a year ago, the Grizzlies play at a pace of only 96.8, and they could dictate how the game is played this evening.

The under is now 4-1 for the Pacers in their last five games overall, and even though the four recent under cashes were at home, I think they can bring their defense on the road in this one. While Indiana has been scoring more and giving up more points against the West this season, the Grizzlies are not your typical Western Conference team. The under has cashed in five of the last seven times these two teams have played, and I think the sixth cash is up and coming tonight.
