We crashed and burned on our NBA Picks yesterday, however, I’ve been riding a hot streak straight into the New Year, and there are 11 games with NBA Odds to choose from here on Saturday.

Magic vs. Cavaliers
Lebron James and the Cavaliers are set to tip off the New Year with a matchup against the Orlando Magic, and the NBA Odds have the Cavs as -8½ favorites at home in this one, with a total of 193½. Both of these teams have been playing pretty good defense this season, however, the Magic have also been dealing with a notable injury to one of their young players.

Elfrid Payton sprained his ankle against New Orleans last week, and he played only five and 24 minutes in the two games since. Even though it seems as if he will be good to go tonight, with Payton less than 100 percent, the Magic offense does not run as well. Getting Payton the ball is one of the reasons they moved Victor Oladipo to the bench earlier in the season. That move and Payton’s continued success in the starting role next to Evan Fournier in the back court has been the main reason the Magic have been so good ATS.

However, if Payton is still hobbled, the Cavs present a nice value ATS tonight. Even though they are one of the best ATS teams in the NBA, the Magic have dropped three of their last four ATS, and their run of being undervalued by the sportsbooks could finally be coming to an end. The first time these two teams played, the Cavs won the game pretty easily, and the second time they played Cleveland won the game by 35 points.

Dating back to last season, this will be the sixth time these two teams have played in the second Lebron James era in Cleveland, and in those first five games the Cavs won and covered all five by an average of 21 points. In fact the Magic have not beaten Cleveland in their last ten meetings with the Cavs. Coming off the back-to-back last night, and with all things considered, look for Cleveland to once again lay the hammer down on Orlando as our NBA pick tonight.

Rockets vs. Spurs
The Rockets may have been the most overrated team in the entire league coming into this season, and while the sportsbooks quickly caught onto the fact that the Rockets were nothing more than an average team, one thing that is not overrated is their ability to put points up on the board. Houston is averaging almost 105 points per game in their last five games, however, they have given up 115 per game in their last three contests

Now they head into San Antonio to play the Spurs, and the NBA Odds have the Spurs as -11 favorites, with a total of 201 points. The Spurs have been the best defensive team in the NBA so far this season, and it showed in their first game with the Rockets where they limited them to only 88 points. However, the Spurs lost that game on the road, and I can bet they will want to fix that issue in tonight’s game at the AT&T Center.

Before their game this season the over hit in their last three meetings of the 2014-2015 season, and despite their defense, the over is 6-3 in the Spurs’ last nine road games. A big reason for this seems to be the Spurs’ home scoring of 104 points per game. If they can put up another 105-110 point performance on this horrible Rockets defense, the over is one of the best total plays on the boards right now. In their last ten games, the Spurs are averaging over 106 points per game.
