We are starting a brand new week of NBA action, last week behind me and coming at you with two more of my premium NBA Picks of the day, so let's start winning with my best plays.

Celtics vs. Wolves
The Wolves and Celtics hook up tonight in what should be a pretty good game, where the NBA Odds makers have the Celtics as -5 road favorites, with a large total of 217 points. While I am placing my side bet tonight, the total is really interesting for this one. The total shot up from 210½ to all the way to 217 over night, and while the value has bee bet out of the total, the spread seems ripe for the picking tonight.

The Celtics have been very good not only on the road this season, but on the road against the West. Boston is 6-3 ATS when playing inter-conference road games this season, and they are also the third best team in the league playing on no rest this season at 9-4 ATS.

Boston is by far the better wager in this game, even if they are on the road as favorites coming off a game last night. In their first meeting of the season in Boston, the Celtics easily won and covered that one as -7 ½ favorites, and while the back to back does hurt them a little, the fact that we are coming off the All Star Break also helps Boston in this situation.

The Celtics are16-13-1 ATS this season when playing away from TD Garden, while the Wolves have been one of, if not the best team to fade when they play at home this season. Minnesota is 9-19-1 ATS this season when playing at the Target Center, and they are only 4-8 SU in their last 12 games there. Boston has dropped over 120 points in three of their last five games, and I see them doing the same against a Wolves team that is allowing over 109 points per game in their last ten games sandwiching the break.

Lakers vs. Bucks
The Lakers hung in with the banged up Bulls last night at the United Center, but were unable to beat the struggling Bulls, and now they head north a few hours to play the Bucks tonight in Milwaukee. The NBA Odds have the Bucks as -8 favorites, but the total of 208 points is a bit more appealing for a few reasons.

For starters, the total has gone up a full four points since it opened last night at 204, and while that does hurt a potential over play right now, I still think these two teams could get into an offensive shoot out tonight in Milwaukee. The Lakers play at the 12th fastest pace of any team in the league this season, and coming off the back to back this year, LA is 8-4 cashing the over, and giving up 112 points per game on the second night of back to backs.

The over is now 4-1 in the Lakers’ last five overall games, and they are also 12-6 cashing the over in their last 18 road games. The Bucks on the other hand have cashed the over at 8-3 in their last 11 home games, and with a tired and defenseless Lakers team coming into town, the over should be a very nice NBA pick tonight, despite some of the value being bet out of the total already.
