I cashed all three of my NBA Picks last night, and five of my last six. Hopefully this is the start of a brand new trend in the right direction, so let’s keep it going with two more NBA Picks.

Wizards vs. Sixers
Two nights ago when we cashed the over with the Sixers, I mentioned that tanking season was in full effect, and teams like Philadelphia would probably start to relax a little on defense. That has been exactly the case with Philly recently, as they have allowed nearly 114 points per game in their last ten games, and in their last five games the Sixers are giving up nearly 120 points per game. Tonight against one of the faster paced teams in the league in Washington, they Sixers should once again give up a ton of points.

The NBA Odds have the Sixers as +8½ home dogs in this one, but as you can probably guess, it’s the total I am more focused on for this one. At 216, this total is way too low for these two teams, and with Washington playing at a pace of more than 100, I’m looking for a final score of about 116-106.

The over is now 4-1 in the Wizards’ last five road games heading into this one, while the Sixers have cashed the over in four of their last five games overall. Philadelphia has cashed the over at 17-10 this season when playing at home, and with their league-worst home defense, don’t be surprised if the Wizards come in and run up the score. Washington cashes the over on the road at 17-9 this season, and while their first meeting this season fell under the total, the over is 2-1 in their last three meetings, and when they play in Philly, the over is 3-1 in their last four games from the City of Brotherly Love. Look for another high scoring game tonight between these two sub-par Eastern Conference teams.

Grizzlies vs. Lakers
With the injury to Marc Gasol, the Grizzlies have been playing smaller and faster, and it has really given NBA Odds makers trouble with their lines. Tonight they finish off their home and home matchup with the Lakers, and after beating LA in a high scoring game two nights ago at 128-119, the NBA Odds have the Grizzlies as -4½ favorites on the road in Staples Center tonight, with a total of 212 points.

The Grizzlies have not only been playing faster recently, but their offense has come to life, even without their main cog in Gasol. Memphis is scoring more than 107 points per game in their last ten games, and going up against the Lakers, who may be the worst defensive team in the NBA, I think another over wager is in order tonight.

These two teams have now cashed the over against one another in both of their meetings so far this season, and Memphis has been exceptional at cashing the over recently, going 5-1 in their last six games, and cashing the over in five of their last seven road games. The Lakers on the other hand have cashed the over in four of their last five games and four of their last six at home.

Much like Philadelphia, the Lakers are in full tank mode heading down the last few months of the season, and in their last ten games they have given up 111 points per game. However, their offense has also been good during that same stretch, scoring about 105 points per game. After cashing the over easily in their game two nights ago, I expect nothing less from both these teams tonight. The Lakers come into this one giving up an astonishing 120.4 points per game in their last five. Add Over as your NBA pick tonight.
