Wednesday’s big slate of NBA Odds are here, and I am back to try and jump back on the winning train with two more of my NBA best bets for the big night of NBA before March Madness starts back up.

Jazz vs. Rockets
Some of the early NBA odds out this morning are too good not to lock in, and one of those lines out early from BetOnline is the Utah Jazz as +3 ½ underdogs on the road in Houston tonight to play the Rockets. While the Rockets did play well yesterday against the Thunder, covering the spread but not winning the game, tonight on the second half of a back to back the Rockets may be in another tough fight to the end of the game.

While Utah has not been great on the road ATS this season, they are 3-2 SU and ATS in their last five road games. They are also winners of five of their last six SU and ATS, and that is way better than the Rockets can claim. Houston has now lost their last three games ATS, and they are only 7-11 ATS this season when playing on no rest, Even further, this team is 1-4 ATS in their last five games heading into this one playing on no rest.

The Rockets are also 1-4 ATS this entire season when playing on no rest at home, so while I do agree that the Rockets should be favored here, I’m thinking the early odds of +3 ½ are simply too high and we should take the points here. Utah is going to slow Houston down and play tough enough defense to get the cover here. While the Jazz have been beaten in two out of three against Houston this season, two of those earlier games were without a complete frontcourt for Utah, and that is going to spell bad news for the defenseless Rockets tonight.

Mavericks vs. Blazers
The Mavs got some bad and potentially reassuring news all in one day on Tuesday, and they were even playing a game. It was reported earlier in the morning that Chandler Parsons would be out for the rest of the season, but then another report from the Associated Press came out later that says he could potentially return by the end of the year or the playoffs.

Either way, the Dallas swingman will be out tonight with their battle in Portland, and the NBA odds have the Blazers as -6 favorites in this one, with a total of 214 ½. While the loss of Parsons might hurt this offense just a little, the Mavs and Blazers are both getting to the point where their offenses are pretty well oiled machines. Just look at some of the scores they have put up against one another and recently and you’ll know what I mean.

For instance, the Mavs were in a bit of a clump before their first game against the Blazers in this home and home matchup, and then they dropped 132 points on the Blazers. Portland on the other hand is averaging giving up nearly 124 points in five of their last six games if you take away their dominating win against the Magic.

With the over cashing in both their meetings this season, as well as four of their last five dating back to the 2014-2015 year, I am going with the over here tonight. After falling in a rut to start March, the Mavs have cashed the over in their last two games, and are scoring an average of 111 points in their last five games. The Blazers have cashed the over in eight of their last nine, and as I mentioned earlier, their defense is starting to fall apart late in the season. The Blazers are 19-14 cashing the over at home this season, so add it to your NBA picks tonight.
