It’s been a rough week of NBA Picks for yours truly, and after some tough breaks and utterly bad breaks, I am back at it once again releasing my best NBA Picks for this large Wednesday slate.

Celtics vs. Raptors
One of the earlier games on this evening will feature the Celtics heading north of the border to play the Raptors, and the NBA Odds have Toronto as slight -3 favorites with a total of 201½. The injury to DeMarre Carroll has really hurt this Raptors team, but not in the standings. Toronto keeps playing good enough to get victories, but it’s been hard to predict when and how they will come. They sometimes get down early to inferior teams and have to fight their way back into the game, and that has hurt their ATS winning as well. Toronto is 22-18-1 ATS this season, but they are only 9-9 ATS at home. While they are on a nice five game winning streak SU, (4-1 ATS during that stretch) only one of those games was played at home, and they barely cashed against a bad Brooklyn team.

Tonight against the Celtics, a better wager might be the total, because while the Celtics have been very good on the defensive end at times this season, it seems as if that’s starting to slip. Boston has given up over 110 points per game at home in their last five games, and 105 per game in their last ten games overall.

These two teams played at the very beginning of the season and put up a huge offensive performance against one another with a final score of 113-103, and with both teams cashing the over recently, I am going to follow the trends and bet the over as well. The over has cashed in five of the last six games for the Celtics, and in four of their last five games on the road as well. On top of that, the over is 6-2 in the Raptors’ last eight games, and 4-1 in their last five home games too. Add the over to your NBA Picks tonight.

Wolves vs. Mavericks
Last night the Wolves had a nice lead on the Pelicans before blowing it in the second half, and now they have to travel into Dallas on the second half of a back to back. The NBA Odds have Dallas as a big -9 favorite, but once again the total is where I am looking towards for value here this evening. At only 198 points, even though the total has been lessening since it opened north of 200 points, the over seems like a pretty good play once again between these two teams.

Coming off the back to back this season, the Wolves have been very good at cashing the over at 6-1 on no rest, and while neither one of these teams has been that reliable in cashing the over, the Wolves cashed it last night against the Pelicans, and they have been just short of cashing it recently. A big reason for this has been their defense, which has been pretty bad. In their last five games the Wolves have given up almost 105 points per game, and if you take away their game against the Suns who can’t score against anyone, they have given up 109 points per game in four of their last five.

While the Mavs haven’t been setting the world on fire offensively in the New Year, they did have a nice bounce back performance a few nights ago against the Celtics, and I see another high scoring affair tonight. Dallas has given up at least 112 points in their last two games as well.
