The Indiana Pacers are traveling to Milwaukee to face the Bucks; it is the 3rd meeting of the season for the division rivals. See my NBA pick here.

Indiana Pacers vs. Milwaukee Bucks
After Indiana walloped Milwaukee (123-86) in the first meeting, the Bucks returned the favor with a (120-116) win on this court. That sets up a revenge situation for the Pacers. Combined with the bounce back described below, it vaults Indiana into Top Play position.

Milwaukee Breakdown
At 25-35 SU, Milwaukee is going nowhere this season. They are in the 12th position in the Eastern Conference playoff queue with a 25-35 SU record. That is 6 games behind Indiana and Detroit, whose 31-29 SU records have them sharing the 7th spot in the East. Yet, the Bucks would have to leapfrog Orlando, Washington and Chicago (as well as either Indiana or Detroit) to get that playoff spot. That aint gonna happen… and Milwaukee knows it! Admittedly, the Bucks are playing solid ball of late. They have gone 5-3 SU of late since Mayo and Plumlee have replaced Monroe and Michael Carter-Williams in the starting lineup. PG Antetokounmpo has taken over the ball handling duties. Considering the competition Monday, however, one can hardly be impressed. Milwaukee recorded a (128-121) over the flailing Houston Rockets, a game in which the Houston defense allowed them to shoot 59% from the field.

Indiana Preview
Indiana is a far cry from the franchise who challenged for Eastern Conference superiority 2 years ago. They have gone “small ball” this season with their success resulting in a winning record. Tonight, I expect a huge bounce back effort from the Pacers. After losing Monday night (a hard-fought (100-96) defeat at Cleveland), the Pacers enter this evening’s fray on a 3-game losing streak. Six times this season, the Pacers have lost 3 consecutive games, but they have never lost 4 sonsecutive games this season! Though Indiana is 0-5 SU on the division road of late, it is more important to note that Indiana has covered 10 consecutive games when playing with division range.

Matchup Analysis
Each day, the handicapper is faced with the conundrum of momentum, bounce backs or letdowns. In this game, it is clear to this bureau that based on recent Indiana history, there is no doubt in my mind that Indiana will avoid their first 4-game losing streak of the season and avenge a division rival for an 11th consecutive time. I invite you to put the NBA odds boards in your favor and join me in my NBA Pick on the Indiana Pacers tonight.
