Grizzlies look to close the series with Portland tonight, when game 5 kicks off at the FedEX Forum. Can the Grizzlies finish the job at home? Here's are preview and NBA pick.

Memphis Grizzlies One Win Away
The Memphis Grizzlies are just one win away from the next round of the NBA playoffs and they'll attempt to finish the job tonight when they welcome back the Portland Trail Blazers to the FedEX Forum on Wednesday night.

The Grizzlies missed the chance to close out the series on Monday, succumbing instead to the 99-92 loss in game 4. They get a second crack at it at the FedEX Forum tonight. As it is, the NBA odds are cornered in their camp. They are matched as the -230 favourites to win outright at home and the 5.5-point home chalk.

The Grizzlies stormed to a 3-0 lead in the series behind convincing, double-digit wins. They opened the series with a 100-86 win and then followed with a 97-82 win. On the road in game 3, the Grizzlies defied the NBA odds to win 115-109, all while matched as the +140 underdogs to win straight up and the 3-point road pups.

In game 4, the Grizzlies very nearly pulled off the sweep, despite their disadvantage +155 NBA odds and as the 4-point road pups. They led by as much as ten points in the fourth quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead as the Blazers rallied to get one in the win column.

Nevertheless, the Grizzlies have a two-game cushion going into game 5 and the opportunity to close out the series at home. They've won six in a row against the Trail Blazers at the FedEX Forum and gone 5-1 ATS at the same time.

Portland Trail Blazers
The Portland Trail Blazers' NBA playoffs hang by the slimmest of threads. They are one loss away from certain elimination, with only Monday's win as a consolation prize in the postseason.

The pressure is mounting on the Trail Blazers to come good in the NBA playoffs, but the Memphis Grizzlies present a tricky obstacle on the road. The Trail Blazers are winless in their last six meetings at the FedEX Forum, which is hardly encouraging. Overall, they are 1-7 SU and ATS in their last eight meetings going back to the regular season.

Predictably, the Blazers are the clear-cut underdogs at +190 to win straight up and as the 5.5-point road underdogs. Making matters worse for them is the fact that not only did they lose the two opening games of this series in Memphis, but that they lost those by hefty margins of 14 and 15 points, respectively.

Granted the Grizzlies will be without Mike Conley, who had facial surgery earlier this week. Damian Lillard should take advantage of his absence as Conley was instrumental against him in the first two games. That said the Grizzlies are set to bring back Beno Udrih and they have plenty of good reserves they can field.

NBA Betting Verdict
Kudos to Portland Trail Blazers avoiding the sweep in game 4 and giving their fans something to cheer about in the postseason. However, it's a little bit too late now as the Memphis Grizzlies are poised to finish the job at home before their loyal fans. Take the Grizzlies as your NBA pick to clinch the series with a win tonight, matched at -230 NBA odds. As well, take the Grizzlies to cover the 9-point spread at home. They covered as much easily in the first two home games and boast a 7-1 ATS record against the Blazers in their last eight meetings at the FedEX Forum.
