This Saturday, the Suns will be entering the Oracle Arena against a much improved Golden State Warriors (29-17) team. No time for mistakes! Who will we back with our NBA picks?

The Phoenix Suns (16-31) have been a puzzling team all season long. They came up with a big victory over the Lakers and then they lose at home against a team like Dallas.

Tip-off is scheduled at 10:30 pm ET in Oakland, California.

Golden State is currently an 8.5 point NBA betting odds favorite and the total for the game is 202.

Molding the Klay

Klay Thompson has been Klay that hasn’t needed to be molded; he’s been outright fantastic in his last two games minus Curry.

In his last two games, Thompson has taken control of this team by hoisting up an amazing 42 shots. He’s gone 24 for 42 from the field and 9 for 15 from 3- point range while averaging  29.5 points. Look for Thompson to keep up the exceptional play against a pathetic  Suns club. It will be interesting to see how Klay plays when Stephen Curry returns.

Jack’em Up

While David Lee is a given entity, a guy that will give the Warriors “20-10” almost every game, point guard, Jarrett Jack, is the “X” factor.

Jack can do it all; He can score, rebound, pass the ball wisely, and, play exceptional defense. The one thing that’s suspect about his game is his shooting. He’s coming off of a 3 for 13 performance against Dallas. Jack is a confident player that’s not afraid to shoot the basketball. I expect a big game out of him if needed against a weak Suns defense.

SBR has some great NBA Value Picks for tonight~

Typical Suns

The play of Michael Beasley is typical of a Suns player. Beasley goes out and peppers the Lakers with 27 points and then comes back with a 4 point game on 2 of 13 shooting from the field against Dallas. Dallas is a common recent opponent that the Suns and Warriors have had. The Warriors took care of business while Phoenix lost by double-digits at home.

Beasley is just like many of the other Suns players. One game they’ll light a team up for 30 and can’t miss and the next game, they can’t find the basket and score 2. Aside from their defense, that allows nearly 100 points per game, this is another reason why they haven’t attained success this season.

Markieff Morris is another example of the Suns lack of success. I mean, where has his game gone? Morris has been a respectable bench player early in his career but not so much in his last 2 efforts. Granted, he’s only seen 27 minutes of action in his last 2 games, but he hasn’t scored a single point and has shot just 0-4 from the field. Morris needs to assert himself more when taking the court. This is a player with reasonable talent that’s a lot better than his previous 2 efforts.

The Suns have some decent players on their roster, but the bottom line is, you’re not going to win when Goran Dragic leads your team in scoring at 14.2 points per game and your best players aren’t consistent enough.

The Suns are 4-19 on the road while the Warriors are 15-6 at the Oracle Arena.

Head to Head Trends

The under is 7-1 in the last 8 meetings

Suns are 6-14 ATS in the last 20 meetings at Golden State.

This is a no-brainer to me. Klay Thompson has proven that he can fill in for Stephen Curry better than expected. The Suns have shown nothing on the road and your NBA basketball Picks should reflect thusly. Golden State should lay a beating on Phoenix.

NBA Picks: Golden State  -8.5
