Which sides are the evening’s best bets for your bankroll as these four foes collide? We have taken the guess work out of finding top value NBA picks for you!

Sunday night’s NBA betting slate has its share of Western Conference matchups, with rivals battling as the season’s final stretch takes shape. The Houston Rockets continue a lengthy homestand with a visit from the San Antonio Spurs, while the Utah Jazz wrap up a three-game road trip against the Dallas Mavericks.

Houston has held foes to 92 PPG in its last five dates at Toyota Center, while Utah looks to collect in “Big D” after cashed tickets against the Rockets and Spurs.

San Antonio Spurs at Houston Rockets

San Antonio notched its fourth straight victory with Friday’s 104-97 overtime win over Utah, while failing to cash as an 11 ½-point home favorite. Spurs veteran Tony Parker notched 22 points in 37 minutes on the floor, returning to action after missing eight games with an ankle injury.

Houston picked up its fifth win in seven contests on the same night’s card, cruising in a 116-78 victory as 12-point home ‘chalk’ against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Rockets shot 57.1 percent from the floor, while sizably outrebounding Cleveland, 54-32. opened the Spurs as one-point road ‘chalk’ in Sunday’s matchup, with the number driving north a ‘hook’ to 1 ½ after early wagers on Parker and Co. San Antonio is 2-1 ATS in its three meetings with the Rockets, piling in 123.3 PPG. The latest battle saw Houston collect as an 8 ½-point road dog in a 122-116 defeat, three months ago.

I am backing the Rockets as short dogs here, looking for just enough out of Kevin McHale’s crew to collect. Rockets guard James Harden has put up 31 PPG over his two matchups against San Antonio this year, while drilling 16-of-33 buckets beyond the arc in Houston’s present homestand.

Houston is 7-2 ATS in its last nine games against clubs with winning records, while the Spurs have played just one road game in the past month. San Antonio has a 1-4 spread record in its last five spots that followed a victory, with another losing ticket looming here.

Free Pick: Houston Rockets + 1 ½ ( NBA odds board)

Utah Jazz at Dallas Mavericks

Dallas moved to 7-3 ATS in its last 10 games with Friday’s 104-94 victory as a 4 ½-point home favorite against the Boston Celtics. Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki notched 22 points, while mate Shawn Marion grabbed 13 boards en route to his squad outrebounding Boston, 48-38.

Utah logged a third straight loss in its defeat to San Antonio, despite connecting 8-of-17 shots from three-point land. Jazz guard Mo Williams logged team-highs of 23 points and eight assists, while uniting with center Al Jefferson for three steals each. initially listed the Mavericks as 5 ½-point ‘chalk’ for Sunday’s battle, with early ‘steam’ on Dallas lifting the number to 6 ½. The Jazz have collected in both of their matchups with Dallas, cashing with a 2-0 ATS clip as home favorites.

I am laying the points here with the Mavericks, looking for Nowitzki and Co. to avenge their earlier setbacks to Utah. Dallas is 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings it has hosted against the Jazz, putting up 112 PPG in the last three duels of that span.

Utah has given up 104.9 PPG over its last 10 road spots and may not have much left for the third leg of its Texas “three-step.”  The Jazz have allowed 47.7 percent field shooting on opposing floors, while facing a Mavericks squad that is 9-3 ATS in its last 12 home dates played against foes with losing road records.

NBA Picks: Dallas Mavericks -6 ½ (
