Free NBA picks for a few of todays biggest matchups. Where do our NBA handicappers believe that the best value lies, and how do we plan on cashing in?

NBA Picks Season record: 133-114-5

Despite figuratively crashing and burning over the last week with my NBA Picks, we are still on the plus side of things for the season, and we have plenty of time to correct it and get our bankrolls back up to where they should be. Handicapping is a season long effort, so let’s bounce back tonight with a couple of winning picks in the Association.

Pistons vs. Bobcats

You can almost always find great value for your sports picks when bad teams play eachother. The bigger games have more attention and subsequently more eyes on them, but the bad teams pay out the same if they win, and that’s exactly what we’re doing tonight for our first pick.

Detroit was the 25th straight victim last night for the Heat in Miami, and then they had to hop onto a plane to get up to Charlotte. The Bobcats and Pistons will likely both be one of the top 5 picks in this summer’s draft, but for now the Bobcats are slight -1 ½ favorites.

I however am more focused on the total, but not the total you think. In the 15 games the Pistons have come off a back to back this season, they have given up an average of around 100 points per, and on this incredible losing streak they are on in the month of March, the Pistons have given up at least 100 points in eight of the nine games. On the road games, the average is nearly 110 points per game given up.

Considering the Pistons cant score right now anyways this should be a no brainer. But also playing with no rest this season, the under has cashed at 11-4-1 for Detroit this season. I think the Cats will be able to score, but not the Pistons, so take Charlotte’s team total on the over.

My Pick: Bobcats TT OVER 99

Raptors vs. Knicks

I messed this one up last night, but upon recent developments, I don’t think I can again. Rudy Gay will not travel to New York tonight to play against the Knicks in a home and home. Considering they got beat down on their home floor last night with him, this is any easy decision, lay the -6 with New York and don’t look back.

The Knicks are 18-15 ATS at home this season, they have Carmelo Anthony back and with no Gay to stand in front of him, I expect another big game from Anthony, and for the Knicks to win easily.

My NBA Pick: Knicks -6

Celtics vs. Grizzlies

Both teams are coming off a back to back, and the NBA Odds favor Memphis in this one at -8, with a very low total of 178 or even a half point lower. While Memphis has been very good ATS this season coming off the back to back, the Celtics are the one taking the public’s money taking eight points on the road.

These two teams don’t play each other too much, but they have met once this season in Boston where the Grizzlies won 93-83. These two haven’t played in Memphis since early 2010, so the trends for this one dating back that long don’t mean much.

I’m looking at the team total tonight between these two, because even though the Grizzlies and Celtics have both been cashing the under with no rest, I think that has more to do with their own defense than their offense. The Memphis team total should be around 93 point tonight with such a low total, and I’m going over.

The Grizzlies already average about 93 points per game at home this season, and with the C’s coming in, it’s all over. The Grizzlies will dominate them on the boards both offensive and defensive, giving them the boost they need. Boston is giving up 98 points per game on the road this season, and when that road game comes after a game the night before, the Celtics give up almost 100 points per game. The Grizzlies should hit the mid 90s with ease tonight.

My NBA Pick: Grizzlies TT OVER 93
