Road Dogs Looking Good
The Cleveland Cavaliers travel out West this evening as +9 point underdogs to face the Utah Jazz, but which team is in a better spot to beat the NBA odds?
Cleveland has notched just ten straight up wins this season in 41 games played, with six of them coming on the road. However, against the spread, Cleveland is 15-10 when playing away from Quicken Loans Arena this season.
Meanwhile, the Jazz are a much better team at home than on the road this season, with a straight up record of 12-4 and an against the spread mark of 11-5.
The Jazz have covered the point spread in their last four games played at home, but they are only 1-4 ATS in their last five played on a Saturday.
Cleveland has failed to cover the point spread in their last five matchups versus the Jazz, but they are 6-2-1 in their last nine when the game is being played in Utah.
Cleveland at +9 on the road is a better value that Utah at home tonight.
NBA Picks: Cavaliers +9 at Bookmaker
Rose Garden Blues
The Milwaukee Bucks will be on the road this Saturday night to face the Portland Trail Blazers.
Portland is laying the chalk in this one, as -4 point favorites at home.
While both teams own modest straight up record, (Bucks 20-18, Trail Blazers 20-19) the road team has produced much better results against the spread.
Milwaukee is 12-7 ATS away this season compared to Portland’s 9-8-2 mark playing at home this season. Furthermore, the Bucks have covered five of their last seven games played on the road.
That said, Portland has had success against the Bucks lately, covering the point spread four of their last five matchups at the Rose Garden, but will Milwaukee will break the trend and get the job done tonight.
NBA Picks: Bucks +4 at Bookmaker
The Big Easy
The Golden State Warriors have lost three games in a row, but still hold a comfortable second place slot in the Pacific Division. Tonight they travel to New Orleans to face the Hornets as +5 point underdogs, which is a bit odd considering the Hornets are one of the worst team in the Western Conference.
Yes, the Warriors are banged up with injuries, but they should still have enough to get past the Hornets tonight and cash as one of our NBA picks.
Golden State is 4-0 ATS in their last four matchups versus the Hornets when facing them in New Orleans and 15-7-1 in their last 23 meetings overall. Additionally, the road team is 8-3 ATS going back 11 contests.
The Hornets have covered six of seven overall and four straight against Western Conference opponents, but tonight Golden State is the right side in this one.
