Sacramento is in a similar spot as the Wizards are they may be without Rudy Gay on Saturday. Gay has been playing some of his best basketball in years and without him, the Kings’ offense might suffer too much as the Bucks could key in on DeMarcus Cousins.

Sacramento Kings vs. Milwaukee Bucks

It’s still early in the season, but Rudy Gay really looks good and he obviously wants to play his way out of Sacramento. He is going to get traded eventually, but unfortunately for the Kings tonight, he has been labeled doubtful.

While it is still early, Gay has meant more to the Kings’ offense than anyone outside of DeMarcus Cousins and according to the same metrics on Basketball Reference, much like the Wizards without Wall, the Kings potentially without Gay tonight makes them a big fade. The Kings’ offensive rating drops 24.1 points with Gay off the court this season, which basically means the Kings score about 24 points less per 100 possessions without Gay. Fade them if he is out tonight against a Bucks team playing better basketball with every game.
